Absolutely. I'd like to direct your attention to what Samajnad said in his third paragraph. I guess that's one of the things that will have to be reconsidered, in which case the least I can do is lower the starting commission a bit.
Okay buy PayPal's base fee is 3.9% + $0.30 - it's impossible to even break even on a percentage only rate of 10% the $0.30 kills it, trust me I've run the numbers a lot of times. And that's only the fees from a user purchasing a script - I don't know how you intend on paying the developers instantly without even more fees on top of that.
Plus the conversion fee.
You charge % from a script?
You charge % from a script?
Here is one of my previous responses. We have a sliding commission that decreases as your sales increase. What this means is: if you don't sell any of your script, we charge nothing; and the more you sell, the less we charge. We have an automatic payment system in place, so you receive your money instantaneously. The starting commission is 10%. Any other questions?
I've seen alot of sites come and go since the ending of coderhire, and I have seen sights that people put actual work into and made from scratch, those sites didn't succeed; so my question is why do you think you will do any better?

That system is terrible. You'll be taking around 80 to 230 bucks from the most selling people (including me) [editline]20th April 2016[/editline] Let me put it this way.. You can't compete with SF on security level You can't compete with SF on script/user base You can't compete with SF on amount of features .. and now you can't compete with SF on costs.

Nothing of forementioned can be funded without taxes - and the more people feel secure (at first) the more people decide to have kids, the more kids they have the higher the population, the higher the population the higher social expenses for government, the higher social expenses the higher the taxes have to be to fund them, the higher the taxes the more people decide to leave the country or escape into 'gray area' and work unregistered, the more people do so, the less people there are to pay taxes. It's as simple - my analogy was perfect, because the higher amount he'll charge the less people will decide to use his website. How can that not be obvious to you?
they should really set a max per month perhaps 25 usd.
Also this - nobody will even consider using the website if they charge more than what SF is charging - just saying.

And the award for the most derailed thread goes to... ( any thread competing with ScriptFodder ) ;) But again, I do agree if this is going to be stable in the long term, it has to at the very least not use all the WordPress plugins, and if they're not being used, then moving away from WordPress is just as easy.
Children grow you know and the bigger population the bigger market which obviously brings in money from sale tax and income tax.
Are you even listening to your own words? It takes atleast 18 to 25 years for a kid to grow and start being beneficial for country - until then, it's nothing but a leech. Your sale tax income would go downhill because everyone would have way less money to spend due to increasing taxes. [editline]20th April 2016[/editline] Let's stop derailing the thread - you have obviously no clue what you are talking about. If you want to prove me wrong - add me on steam. But we shouldn't really argue publicly and make everyones day miserable.

The money they spend on clothes and etc goes into the economy but yes, it's less than what the country put in but children are an investment. First you ignores the bigger income from a bigger population and now you say that they automatically increase the tax. Countries arent affected negatively by higher birth and modern countries actually have a really low birthrate. Shit isn't as simple as more kids higher tax there are tons of more variables you have to consider fuck even economist are having a hard time about it. But let's not get off topic and before we stop with this would you mind telling me how it has anything to do with the commission based system they have.

You said 'taxes don't automatically go up' - how do you cover the increasing social security expenses? You said 'you ignores bigger income form a bigger population' - sure, the income is there - after 18-25 years and some of these people already have kids. You said 'countries actually have a really low birthrate' - yes, due to high taxes. It's not worth having kids because it's something you have to pay for 18-25 years before it starts being any beneficial. 'economists are having a hard time about it' - the same economics nobel prize winners that say that 'social security is a scourge on the earth, steals from those that work and gives to those that don't'? Or your imaginary economists? Your agreements are fundamentally flawed, guys. You forgot that we cover the PayPal fees. A successful script would have PayPal fees greatly exceeding SF's monthly fee.

[editline]20th April 2016[/editline] Just came to me - if you'll be paying paypal fees.. you won't be making any money at one point. :snip: Let me put it this way: If you take 7-10% from me, then I don't care about paypal taking 3% from me because it's still less than paying 15$ to SF + 3% to paypal. If you take less than paypal then you aren't making any money, but actually paying me.
That is an option - what about chargebacks? [editline]20th April 2016[/editline] Just came to me - if you'll be paying paypal fees.. you won't be making any money at one point. If you take 7% from me and paypal fees are 3%.. it's just better to stay with SF and pay 15$ + 3% of paypal fees. If you take less than paypal from me, then you'll be paying me for every sale and get nothing from it.
That's where the sliding commission I described earlier comes into play. Regardless, I believe there may be some flaws in our payment system. I will talk to Sleggie to sort this all out tonight.
I editted my post, read it please.
Well we certainly won't be taking less than PayPal and covering the PayPal fees. That would just be silly :P
Well we certainly won't be taking less than PayPal and covering the PayPal fees. That would just be silly :P
If you took 1% more than paypal and covered paypal fees then it would have a chance of succeeding since majority of people would be paying below 15$ + pp fees. .. but at the same time, you wouldn't be making much - around 1-3$ per average developer.
Please calm down guys and keep it friendly (that's a lot to ask for...) I said earlier that we corrected ourselves. I lowered the commission to make up for the fees. Also, please stop taking this as a competition. It's an alternative with different features and a whole different way of seeing things. Notice how I have never put down SF directly once. Neth, you are a rather intelligent person and I don't want there to be any beefs here. Please at least try to be respectful to everyone.

Actually 90% of this site is broken links. The login to download button 404s, the forums button on the dashboard 404s, there's a donate(????????) button that does nothing, there's [t]http://meharryp.xyz/sharex/2016/04/20/chrome_2016-04-20_17-02-05.png[/t] What is this Why are there 2 paypals What [t]http://meharryp.xyz/sharex/2016/04/20/chrome_2016-04-20_17-04-24.png[/t] Ok my name is gone now [t]http://meharryp.xyz/sharex/2016/04/20/chrome_2016-04-20_17-06-00.png[/t] This site is basically if a scriptfodder clone met darkrp servers. Addons that conflict with each other and a "developer" who doesn't know a single line of code. :v:
Mobile version doesn't work at all. Site is broken for all mobile users.
