@Edit:
Flexible walls (placing walls from A to B), you (almost) can't tell that they are separate models.

I was cleaning out and backing up some files before I wiped my drives for Windows 10 and came across this thing; it was the last project I started in GLua however long ago. Figured I'd show what it looked like here.

It was meant to be a pretty simple server administration system and shop but I really didn't get too far.

[sp]Oh Gaben, I swear the quality wasn't this bad when I recorded it[/sp]
Okay so I invited 2 of my friends onto my server with my gamemode running and left them to themselves.
It started quite pathetic to be honest:

But after half an hour, I came back to this:

Yeh, it's going quite fast - even added working furniture:

Removed annoying shadow:

And the circles now actually work and show progress before built and health afterwards.
Awsome stuff
Idea: make an HUD with the style of the progress circles and stuff.

The gap between the icon and text on the button is a little bit big, maybe try bringing the text a little bit to the left.

Don't make your particle effects entirely one color (ie 255 0 0), add some white to it by upping the other colors too. It'll make it appear to shine more.
A common problem with complex gamemodes is the way you convey essential information during the players first impresison so I made a little prototype for a tutorial/information system: it's pretty easy to work with, you only have to specify some basic info about each page and the transitions are generated. Before anyone rides me about padding and typos, it's a prototype, pixel perfection comes later.

Yes, I see what you mean.
Also your gems are quite cool, but the textures are broken:

Metro 2033/Last Light Hand Car
Not my first mod, but it definitely feels like it. As you may know from playing metro 2033 or last light, this mod is from those games.
The hand car:
Featured in metro 2033's "chase" level, you pump the lever to push forward, and there can be two drivers.
The mod isnt complex, rather simple actually, you hold w or S while looking in the right direction(towards the lever in 90 degree angle is the only way, you cant look behind you and push)
It also comes with separate props:
Light hook: Hold the lantern up
Car/cart platform: Can be welded to the front or back of cart for storage space.
Lantern: scripted entity, press e to toggle on and off, has ambient sounds like the cart, and toggle sounds too, is also destructable with one bullet
Had a lot of things to do for this mod, as you can both sit and stand, block binds, ect ect, whihc was very new and difficult for me. Still have a few things to iron out, youtubes compression makes the video quality ugly.
Heres a short video showing the lantern, hook and hand car. With sounds.(I didnt show the platforms sadly)
VIDEO:

I also decided to model this myself rather than porting it
Works on metro maps(which have slightly less than the typical 80 HUnits in between width), and normal maps.
Mod is 2 MB compiled size right now.
SO far, im love working on this stuff.
4 players per cart as well
Weapons work when you are standing up, so you could be a rolling model squad too.
Well, currently adding entity ownership to TA ;)

I like it - it's consistent, looks great and functional! But it looks to me like the "Male" and "Create Character" buttons are grayed out or something, try tweaking the colors a bit. IMO the button text should be white, not gray.

They work fine for me, you may have an addon that's overwriting engine/defaultcubemap.

Naa, not really - I'm assuming you only used these with HDR turned off - because they seem to be broken only in HDR.
Have you tried to add lights into DModelPanel? I feel like there's no cubemap rendering in DModelPanel
Just look at 357 viewmodel

Don't know if this is GMod related but I've been working on it GMod so decided to post it.
Working on a C++ bone ESP for garrys mod. Took me like < 5 mins to make which is pretty funny tbh.
if (g_pEngine->IsInGame())
{
for (int i = 0; i < entitylist->GetHighestEntityIndex(); i++)
{
CBaseEntity* cBaseEntity = (CBaseEntity*)entitylist->GetClientEntity(i);
CBaseEntity* cLocalPlayer = (CBaseEntity*)entitylist->GetClientEntity(g_pEngine->GetLocalPlayer());
if (!cBaseEntity)
return;
cDrawing.DrawBones(cBaseEntity, 255, 0, 255, 255);
}
}
once again just hooked paint traverse and drew on it.
First cehck if in game
then looped through players
then draw bones

The text turns white when you hover the button, indeed they're a little bit more brighter than the background, i might change it.

You should not have the hover color be the same color as the rest of the text. Have the default color be white, and then change it on hover.
i changed the loadout screen for my gamemode

[img_thumb]http://puu.sh/p7E2y.jpg[/img_thumb]
I've changed the button colors, as suggested, now the text color is always white, unless the button is disabled(Create character), the difference when it's hovered is the background being more bright:
