No, the HUD is all of the elements on the screen, ie the Health bar, armor, messages etc.

Scripters
Aim to include:
- What you can and can't do
- What you want and don't want to do
- How long you want the job to take (a quick addon or DarkRP edit?, a long-term position in a community?, a complete gamemode?)
- What you're willing to work for (free?, a small amount of money?, admin on a server?, a lot of money?)
- How you want to be paid (include payment method (eg PayPal) and how you want it to work (send half, give script, send rest or something else?))
- How you can be contacted (make sure the Steam profile URL on your Facepunch profile is still correct!)

If you're going to post proof of your past work, try to put it elsewhere and link to it rather than embed 10 laggy YouTube videos in your post. Another option is to say you will provide evidence of past work on request, but that may not be the best method of attracting customers.

Hirers
Aim to include:
- Exactly what you want done, if you wont post it because you think your idea is so amazing that someone is going to "steal" it then sorry but a) someone else has probably already done it anyway and b) you're unlikely to attract many scripters.
- Exactly what you're paying (or willing to pay), it's honestly purely up to you how much you offer. Just bear in mind, if you offer too much nobody will probably tell you, so you could spend way more than you needed to, but if you offer too low you're advert will just be ignored. If you're just offering a community position (eg admin or owner) then feel free to post, but a word of warning the majority of scripters (as in every scripter ever) wont want that.
- A timeframe, do you want it done in a few days? a week? a month?
- How you want to be paid, both method and how you want it to work (eg send half, get script, send the rest).
- How you can be contacted (make sure the Steam profile URL on your Facepunch profile is correct).

PayPal "donations": Some scripters may require you to send your payment as a "Donation" on PayPal. This is more than usually because you can't dispute donation payments. If you send it as a payment for Goods/Services, you can dispute it with PayPal if the scripter doesn't provide what you paid for or it is significantly not as described. The donation payments can be used in one of two ways, either to make sure the hirer doesn't scam the scripter by sending the money, getting the script then disputing it to get the money back, or to make sure the hirer can't get his/her money back if the buyer scams them. Honestly there's no real solution to this, regardless of how you do it there is still going to be some element of trust involved.

[B]DarkRP edits:[/B] The majority of hiring posts in past threads have been requesting modifications or additions to the popular role-playing gamemode DarkRP. Please bear in mind there are lots of existing modifications for DarkRP available, so please check garrysmod.org and the Mods and Addons section of Facepunch before you go hiring, it'll save you both money and dumb ratings.

[B]Keep it up to date:[/B] When you've found a scripter, or found enough work for you to handle, or too busy to work anymore, please edit your post in this thread and add a note at the bottom saying so, this helps people reading to know whether you're still available or not.

Scamming[/B]
- Don't be afraid to post in this thread about scamming hirers or scripters (I know several people may disagree with this but it's for the best), but please don't post just for the sake of starting an argument. Try and resolve it with the other party privately first, if that fails then make a post in this thread. Make sure you've given them at least 24 hours to respond too. Include as much evidence as possible, screenshots of Steam or any other communication, PayPal too where appropriate.
- I will try and maintain a list here of scripters or hirers that I THINK you should avoid. Of course it's entirely up to you whether you still hire/work for them.
- I will only add people to this list if the evidence provided is compelling enough to prove that they did indeed scam somebody.
- Once you've posted your evidence and said your piece, leave it be, don't derail this thread too much with an argument. I can't speak for them but the forum moderators may or may not ban you if you derail the thread too much.

If someone asks for a custom HUD they definitely do not want their scoreboard to be left at the default. It is implied that they want the whole of the default 2D visuals modified; that said, the pointshop reskinning is indeed an additional task.

When I asked you could you actually do what I wanted, making the rest of the HUD a similar style etc, you said you couldn't because "something [was] messing up". I've always seen the HUD being the health/armor/ammo bars. Not the scoreboard or messages or that stuff. I know they're technically HUD too, but they're just never defined as HUD, but instead "scoreboard".

HUD's anything drawn to the screen to show on the fly stats; health, ammo, armor, "my community's awesome come look at my website", etc.

It's possible to have a HUD scoreboard, however almost no-one makes those any more because everyone's used to being able to do things to players through clicking on things on the scoreboard.

Interactive scoreboards are vgui, not HUD work.

Usually a redesigned pointshop is a whole different level from a HUD. It takes a lot of work to even change the pointshop's GUI design and usually costs around $80+

[I]- I can do weapons, entites, etc. Models must be supplied. Can fix custom model errors and other errors like that.

- I can do GUI's if needed, will take time though, would not like to do complicated vehicles, or NPC's or complete redos of shit. Don't like to touch admin plugins either.

- For time frame, I'd preferably like to be a long time coder, one time thing is fine, I'll do some small stuff for free, but preferably money because I'm low...

DarkRP inventory
• Display inventory slots that are 'locked' (e.g it has 30 inventory slots, 10 are available to normal users, 15 to vip and so on)
• MUST HAVE FULL SUPPORT OF MYSQL (as it will be used throughout multiple servers)
• Have the option to 'sell' extra inventory slots
• Created as a DarkRP module or addon
• Must come with an easy config file (looking similar to below example)
• Put items in your inventory by using the DarkRP 'pocket' swep (requires you to edit the swep that ships w/ darkrp)

Design wise I don't really have any ideas but anything simple will do, obviously if you come to me with a very nice looking inventory I can probably add $5 on or something.

Interesting you only wanted to pay me $10 for that ammo machine which has 5+ item types and scripts for health and armor, not to mention that you didn't actually supply a custom model and it was something off the workshop. Also interesting that you accused me of going to resell the script later.

I did several revisions after you wanted things tweaked or different. I honestly spent a long time on it and made exactly what you wanted, without a silly scroll bar which is not well documented at all.

Looking for a fairly advanced coder to make a pair of DarkRP modules and a few extras

stuff i need:

1 - [B]RDM shield module[/B]

all players have an RDM shield that makes them invulnerable to bullet, explosive and crush damage while active. The shield will only be active if they are holding a 'passive' weapon (gravgun, physgun, hands, pocket, camera, toolgun). The shield will instantly deactivate if they take out any other weapon or loiter around an enemy base for too long (more on this later). Once they are away from enemy bases and are holding a passive weapon again the shield will take 20 seconds to charge up and come back online once more.
Players with an active shield should be clearly indicated in some way (maybe an icon above their head or a faint white glowing circle on the ground below them)
Also if you make a hud indicator that shows the player their shield's current status (online or offline and time until it becomes online again) i would feel inclined to sling a few more bucks your way :quagmire:

2 - [B]DarkRP custom factions module[/B]

Nothing too complicated here, i just want an f2/f4/whatever menu where players can create their own factions (or join other's factions) and set their chat colour and password.
If you really want to go the whole nine yards I'd pay extra for this system to have faction allegiences (for example one faction can be officially allies or at war with another faction)

3 - [B]Structures[/B]

I need a few purchasable structures to go with all this. I will supply some mock up base code for these so you get a better idea of what i need. The main structure i need is a 'base core' structure.
The base core will generate power for all surrounding structures (i can handle that part). The part that I need coded is that the base structure will generate a spherical field around it (probably 10 metre radius but i would prefer this to be configurable) that will break the RDM shield of anybody who enters it regardless of what team they are on (this prevents the defenders from abusing the shield system). The edge of this field should be marked by a thin circle on the ground that is coloured the same as the owning faction's colour and players from other factions should recieve a warning over chat if they are getting close to an enemy base area.

On top of that i need a few more structures and these are as follows:

Spawnpoint - gives you a place to respawn, only works if it is powered (i have code for this but i cant get the player to respawn at it for some reason)

Autoturret - a shitty reskin of the old lmaollama basewars turret, i just need it working (i will provide code)

Radar Tower - functions the same as the old LL basewars one but it doesnt need to tell you what printers they have as this is unnecessary, will need to have 3 upgrade levels with each level giving scans at a faster rate and being able to penetrate higher levels of radar jamming.

Radar Jammer - you cannot be scanned while standing near a radar jammer, level 1 jammers will only block scans from level 1 scanners, level 2 jammers will block scans from level 1 and 2 scanners, jammers cannot be upgraded to level 3 and thus level 3 scans are unblockable

Payment will be by paypal and I am willing to put down 100 bucks or so, maybe more if your work is of good enough quality.
