Looking to hire someone for a complete game mode. I'm going to first state, that there are no maps made for this yet, and no models either. Perhaps placeholders can be used until these items are achieved? Or if your interested in making them as well, well that would be impressive. Well here it goes. Facepunch criticism I'm sure can follow. As other game mode's have been made that are SIMILAR to this idea before.

In essence it's close to TTT in genre wise. But not a clone of it. It is a free-for-all game mode, where players must flush out the player who is betraying them. This is supposed to be more of a Sci-Fi game mode, so think alien's who can appear as humans. Easy enough?

The game mode would have to have a way to balance teams upon startup (as in give it a ratio of humans and aliens) or have a set value for servers (example of that would be 25% of players will be aliens upon entering the game. Or for set value of 2 players will be aliens at the start of the game).

Aliens job is simple, kill and assimilate those into the alien ranks. When an alien kills a human, they turn into an alien (Yay for "Infection"). But for the humans, its to survive, and ultimately escape. This is where the core of the game mode works out. There will also be a small amount of players as "Androids" who cannot be changed to aliens (think of them as more along the lines of detectives. You know for sure they are not an alien). If they die, they do not change.

If an alien dies, they do not respawn. If a human commits suicide, they don't respawn. 1 life people.

What should be most interesting to is that I hope that players will have a chance to also be of certain ranks. For instance, since the likelyhood of this gametype will be played on space ship type maps, their will be captains. Leaders of the humans who will receive the main objectives for their group. In an ordered scenario (as mentioned in next paragraph) the captain would never spawn as an alien, while in randomized scenarios, there will be a chance (but smaller) to spawn as an alien.

What will be needed is a way for human players to have to do mission based objectives while navigating the map. Objectives may be interacting with a button on the map for instance, getting to a certain area in the map (zone), or even collecting weapons or items (entities). What would be even cooler would be a way to have it also be randomized or ordered objectives. (this is where I'm sure a lot of place holders would be necessary).

Along with the basics of that game mode, I want to have players feel like they are immersed in the game. In terms of this, I was thinking it would be neat to have players have progressive HUDs if that's even an option. What I mean is, say the only thing they see when they first spawn is a health meter in the bottom (like a heart monitor. With no actual value of HP other than the heart rate and color change). But as they progress through the missions and objectives they might find scripted entities that would add to their HUDs. The basic HUD module (whice would be giving a placeholder for a real model) would then add to the health bar, and actual numeric HP, would give an ammo counter, and researve ammunition. With the ADVANCED HUD module, players would be able to also see an aim reticule, and a basic radar.

I'm sure that Radar thing will get flagged right away, since everyone I've ever heard has said that there is no way it can be done in GMod.

Give me an idea if this is possible guys, and if your interested in it, give me a holler.

I'm willing to go in the hundreds for something like this (defiantly negotiable). I'll say base price between 100-150 dollars With no real ETA of when it needs to be done. I got nothing to base this price on, so back me up if it seems reasonable, or call me out if its a shitty price.

Payment source? I offered to do it for free. He just never got in contact with me and probably doesn't even know I've made this script for him.
Also the thing about exclusivity, what? lol I don't need the script, and he never asked for it, so I figure I wouldn't let it go to waste and just post it here.

Was he supposed to pay you? If yes, he should be added to the scammer list because that sounds like pure bullshit even though you aren't being very specific.

I offered to do it for free in the first place, so technically no scam here. But if there was a 'suspicious' list, he would definitely be on it.

This is how it went. Once he got in the server he left in about 4 seconds and responded with thanks for your time but no thank you, I'll find someone else to do it.

It's funny because if it is a "I'm going to steal the cache and your work" scam(which it seemed like), I was offering to do this all according to how they wanted and for free so they basically just jipped themselves.
