I'd also be willing to provide hosting for anyone who needs it. Not really interested in participating either, I just really want to see this take flight. Specs: Intel Xenon E5-1620 v2 64GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM 500GB SSD Gigabit up/down Should also mention that it includes TCAdmin, so there won't be any issues with contestants keeping their servers up to date or anything like that.
What happened to the winning gamemode(s) of last year? Did any of them catch on?

Doesn't mean it's innovative though.
Doesn't mean it's innovative though.
Exactly what I meant by "catering to the gmod playerbase". However it is possible to get something innovative to go big; just look at GMT.
just look at GMT's server bills not everyone can accrue a hoard of ravenous fans
I'll help judge again if needed. Best way to contact me is at my email (remscar@live.com) since i'm not going to be checking back on this thread.
Why not have a predefined list, possibly 100, voters made up of people active on the Garry's Mod sub-forums on facepunch? I'm talking people that are generally seen in the majority of threads and are seen as well known.
repeating last year's mistakes is not a good idea
Lessons can be learnt from last year, the idea behind it wasn't too bad. but a little too much, and few things simply went wrong.
So, is this confirmed for actually going to happen?
Every person who submits something must vote for someone ELSE. No judges. No bias; can't vote for yourself. No B.S. stupid votes because coders know quality when they see it. Myeh? [editline]swag[/editline] Possible theme: TF2 content?
Hell, Better then that, Do it My Kitchen Rules style. Edit: Feck off TF2. I deleted that shit because all it did was want to update it.
FP moderators as judges thats it sounds way less complicated then having public votes, scripts to filter said votes, making sure communities don't get involved, checking peoples code, etc. its a competition meant to be fun, not a country wide election

We could always have really active members of the GMod discussion appointed as judges.
We did that last time. Hint: It was a disaster.
