Shouldn't we be able to search users on coderhire by usernames?
I think that this would be more easy to search users that adds to us for check if they already bought the scripts, or just report them
http://coderhire.com/users/search
Then on their profile just use the purchases tab.
Not sure if he's serious, but you might want to check into this.

Dreams of being VALVe employee... breaks rules and gets VAC banned. Good luck with that.

you know just because you get vac banned doesn't mean valve won't want you. If you downloaded a hack from a random website and you get vac banned they probably won't; but if you make your own hack and they realize how good it is/was for however long then they might want you to help make stuff better.

Would have to be undetected for ages (in VALVe time) if that was the case.
??? Is he an informant or something?
I don't know, but like he said in the chat, apparently, he found an exploit on coderhire that gives him access to all the scripts or something.

[editline]1st April 2014[/editline]
oh you're safe his server is flooded with startup requests (haha what)
Same guy, a second goddamn time. You'd think PayPal or the credit company would understand by now.

Is there a way I can block him from buying from me?
As far as I know, no. Try asking Paypal to block any money transfer from his to yours and vise versa.

You don't need a paypal account to do paypal transactions,
so no
Funnily enough, coderhire doesn't have FTP access. Or 'simple HTML exploits' for that matter.

In other words:

Hey, I am a guy who leaks coderhire scripts and in fact uses one of your fine addons. I have found an exploit in coderhire which allows any user to access FTP via a simple HTML exploit. I would like to fix the exploit. Here is a link to a page where I give outdated leaks to people. I use the updated scripts on my server which is conviently down. Please give me accees to coderhires web file so I can [strike]leak every coderhire script[/strike] fix coderhire.
Regards,
A respected leaker.

Oh that's what he meant, I had trouble reading it.
No, pretty sure he was trying to boast about a non-existent exploit where he's actually just using leaks (and hasn't bought anything to leak anyway).

always found it funny how people that leak scripts and that sorta stuff are always in the lua group on steam

Not to mention people who have added jobs to their DarkRP and call themselves "scripters".

I think people who add jobs to darkrp deserve a prize for not posting on coderhire.

They probably have. However there's a 5 minute rule... However, on the other hand- does this apply to them as they have spent hours on those jobs? :v:

Yeah, I thought as much. He looked like the type of guy that boasts and tries to look like his life is more interesting than it actually is. When I called him on his bluff he said that the "ftp" was "denying his download request" or some shit.
That said, he was also boasting on how he found an exploit in the steam wallet system or something.
...apparently he's a "Med student".

Would have been more fitting if he was studying law.
Maybe he should take some meds.
Please let us make applications with $0 values. Example why: http://coderhire.com/jobs/view/4264
Could we have a way to still see developer subscription related statistics, such as seeing your scripts purchases on someone's profile, even though you're not subbed anymore and you can't sell your script until you subscribe again? Thanks.
oh cool, someone coded their own addon to my script! that's kinda neat.
oh now I'm getting bug reports for it that aren't my fault.
oh, the author hasn't actually purchased the addon.
oh, the media for his addon shows an incredibly out of date version of my script being used.
oh.

The bad side of coderhire in a nutshell.
I am glad there is also the good side such as people massively buying your scripts just because they liked one of them.
Hey, I'm not sure if this has been bought up, but what is the rules on jobs that require you to mod a script that is for sale on coderhire, for example
I have seen some jobs that are saying "Edit this script.." "Mod this script...".
The script is a script available for purchase in the CoderHire store.
So, as a coder, if I accept the job, am I allowed to request the script code so I know how to edit it? Do I need to contact the author of the script and inform them the situation?

You need authors permission to edit the code, althought buying the script works the same.

Yup, worked with Sir. Braden1996 today, his TTT Battlefield 4 HUD + Minimap is now fully supported by my TTT HUD Switcher system. (Weapon select, Message stack and all), gotta hand it to him though, he's a nice fella.
