[QUOTE=Aj;41717993]I personally think the quality of the scripts that have recently been approved should be re-assessed, not to attack single people but [url=http://coderhire.com/scripts/view/192]this[/url] script here looks alot like the names above heads that come in the [url=https://github.com/Xandaros/evolve]evolve[/url] admin mod.
I downloaded evolve just to check the similarities, and it looks like people are paying $4 for a glow in-between the boxes and the ability to change the color.

Alot of 'quick scripts' are being thrown on after people notice one script sells well, like the wave of logging scripts a couple of weeks back.
Then again, guess it is up to the person who buys it, and it is the fault of the person who buys it if they find something of the same thing freely available.[/QUOTE]
Hi, I'm the author for this. It's true that I may have priced this script too high and that it bares a striking resemblance to the Evolve nametags (which likely subconciously resulted from me liking the design of those nametags a fair bit, I am currently in the process of redesigning and adding additional features to it) but it's clear that you suspect me of simply editing the nametag script included in Evolve. Of course, you can't exactly take my word for it, so here's a partial screencap of the code:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/qsuIm3v.png[/t]
I don't see why this should be taken down at all. It was approved by a moderator and I think a code search for edited Evolve code would bring up a lot of results. Please don't accuse me of stealing code when I haven't.
Can one ship 20 sec pieces from songs with their script for sale?
I'd rather you didn't because of potential copyright claims and provide a download link from somewhere else.
Meh I'll probably just put a guide on how to make these.
It seems comments on a script are now showing the time that the script was listed as the time it was posted (see [url=]here[/url])

Fixed, thanks.
[QUOTE=Netheous;41717684]That is still none of a proof.
And chat logs in form of a text aren't really reliable as Aj said.
Anyways, if your script was good, you'll find someone else to sell it to sooner or later.[/QUOTE]
He doesn't know how to speak like a normal person. I've also removed him now. Don't tell me he's a "good" guy.
Can't see who was accepted for the job.
For some jobs is working but not for all of them, it's happening very rare but it's happening.

browsing scripts when I see a script just like the one I'm prepping for release.

Release it anyway, competition is healthy (as long as you've actually made it yourself, of course)

I'm just making lots of different versions of it so that the buyer has lots of options.
To be honest it was ready like a week ago, it's just it's my first time selling code and im nervous :v:

I'm putting an end to the shitty HUD modifications. Unless a HUD is the standard (in both design and code quality) of Spencers ([url]http://coderhire.com/scripts/view/88[/url]) it won't be accepted and any existing ones will likely be removed, unless they have sold well (> 5/6 purchases in the last month).
Also going to add a lower limit of $5 on scripts so anything worth under that won't be allowed on the site.
[QUOTE=Netheous;41717649]Because it requires invitation to register in here and I am not giving one.[/QUOTE]
i doesn't anymore?
I'm noticing this one happen to me a lot more than I would like.
I find a job > I apply > Only Application

Decide to add them on Steam, they say they found somebody for the job or they always forget to go back and check them.

$4 dollar limit please, or atleast a 4.99 limit.
[editline]change of mind[/editline]
I think actually $2.50 after looking at some scripts.

Same thing happened to me. I had to add him and I also had to wait 4 days before he accepted my request. And now I talked with him and he asked me if I want the detail and he asked me like 6 hours ago since then he never send a message.

I've gotten 20+ purchases ($50) on both of my $2.50 scripts, bit unfair to ban them.
Also I feel like I'm the only one who finds Spencer's HUD unnecessarily big and ugly...
There's scripts listed that are worth less than $5 in reality but are priced at $10+, what about the scripts that have already sold and are under the $5 threshold

Are you now evaluating scripts based on how much [b]you[/b] think its worth?

Just wanted to put this here.

I agree with you but there is one thing that I like and that is the HP Circle.

Well he wasn't banned for trading scripts. I talked with Kamshak about what he was doing.
Someone created a job where he wanted a DarkRP scoreboard and Bedcorn applied and he was accepted. One day before I made for him a DarkRP scoreboard and he wanted to sell that to whoever he could.
Next day when I was informed that my car dealer went public I talked with him and he said that he tried to sell my car dealer for 40$ to whoever wanted to buy it but he said he didn't upload it for the public.
I think he deserves more then 1 month ban and don't think he is trustfully because he will sell everything he can just to make money.
On his team profile he says that hes a coder but I fucking had to install for him 5 times the scoreboard and after the 5th time he said that he will write somewhere how to install it so he won't ask me again.

The health circle is really nice, its just the font and the size of the hud that gives a bulky/big feel to it, imo.
Come on now, this isn't an "ugly things about Spencer's HUD" thread.
Right, I'll reevaluate the pricing stuff, but the shitty HUDs are going.
As for Spencer's HUD, I was more talking about how he actually put some effort in to both the design and code, not that everyone thinks it looks amazing.
le wild bug appears. I went onto coderhire and start getting random alerts for jobs when i never had them to show in my settings.
What I set in my settings:

Well in that case I can definitely agree, most of the HUDs are basically small changes to the defaults.
We need more TTT HUD overhauls that cover everything HUD related, including the scoreboard, punch-o-meter, etc., rather than just changing the spec/role bars and charging $10.

Scoreboard isn't really part of the HUD though, thats why the VGUI tag is there and it is being appropriately used.
