Damn, I thought something amazing happened with the sudden burst of comments :(
Are you allowed to add a little snippet of malicious code so you can do something if the hirer scams you?

Of course not.
Of course not.
But how are you going to protect yourself from scammers
But how are you going to protect yourself from scammers
Code it, show them it on a test server, they pay, you send over code.
But how are you going to protect yourself from scammers
Hire a lawyer to defend you when the scammer files a Pay Pal dispute works everytime.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/7oDqeJp.jpg[/t]
That is the problem I've been scammed before and the person wanted me to create a server for him and I did but I had a feeling that he would fuck me over so I added malicious code so if he scam me I'll fuck over the server. And he did and I crashed his whole community. Ps this was outside coderhire.
Hey guys, I was wondering if I could get unbanned from coderhire because I was buying a script one day and the guy wouldn't respond to me so being as impatient as I am I filed a refund and then they ban me, I later cancelled the refund to only leave with out the script and my coderhire account banned.

I canceled the reversal also so he still has his money.
ok love ya all gnight
As a fellow Norwegian, you disgust me so much.
-snip-
I just got the most bizarre support ticket.
Hello! I enjoy your script, it is so nice! But I have two Dark RolePlay servers... And on one of them, I would like to use this f4 menu: http://coderhire.com/scripts/view/618.
The problem, his that the script do not support Dark RolePlay Food Mod... I show you the basic code for the shop with entities, shipments tabs. Please, can you add me the code to support Food Mod?
So at first I was really confused because this was a ticket for my inventory mod labelled urgent and it took me a bit to decipher just what he wanted. I thought at first he wanted support for food in the inventory mod, then I thought he wanted the F4 menu to be integrated with the inventory.
...But after reading it over a few times, it's clear the ticket has absolutely no relation with my script, he just wants me to do free work to fix this F4 menu that is in no way related to my script. And yet he opens a support ticket and labels it urgent.

Have I ever mentioned how stupid "urgent" tickets always seem to be? Unless the ticket title has the word "exploit" in it, 90% of the time it's a pointless feature request or really blatant user error.

You also reversed a transaction paid to me without contacting me at all. I don't see a ticket and I add everyone on Steam.

He probably contacted you because he used leak code for that F4 menu.
Right now I'm doing a gamemode update from gm10, and I can't stop improving the original gamemode. Help.

Do you need something to take your mind off of it?
There should be something somewhere that warns users saying "Understand that some scripts might not be compatible with others."
As much as the customers have the rights to have working scripts, there is no way to guarantee, especially when the user has 30+ addons, that the script won't conflict.
There's a problem with errors being unexistent when trying to debug them on your end because of the simple fact that there's none. As you can't have access to other's script (which is completely justified), it makes thing chaotic with the client.
That is why I think a simple rule or reminder would be of good taste.
Small question, if we release an update for a script does it announce that to all the player's have purchased it that such update is available? And if so, perhaps we could leave a custom message for those people? I plan on doing some updates for some of my scripts here shortly (when I have the time, heaven forbid I have any of THAT)
For example, "Nookyava has released an update for their script, '[DarkRP] Alchemy Table'." Not sure how the custom message would fit in, although that could be used by the version comments now that I think about it.
Anyone subscribed to new version notifications for your scripts will receive one. You're automatically subscribed when you purchase but anyone has the option to disable them.
Alright, thanks Adam!
Has anyone else been invited to the PayPal beta? They called me a valued user :3. Also, the web version mobile site for it doesn't suck anymore!

If I'm right I saw something like that on my email account but I didn't touch it since I thought it would be something stupid, have you joined it ?
So upon trying to log in, I'm getting the error;
Please make your Steam profile public for a few minutes so we can check your account.
My profile IS public?
Are we allowed to sell scripts for gamemodes that are for sale on Coderhire?
Are we allowed to sell scripts for gamemodes that are for sale on Coderhire?
Sure. If the gamemode author is fine with it, I'll make the scripts DLC so the gamemode has to be bought first too, and it's listed as DLC.

It's actually really nice especially if you have lots of money go through your paypal.
I don't understand why developers need to have subscriptions to post scripts. Why not just take a cut of their sales? Not letting already uploaded scripts be purchased if the subscription lapses is even more annoying. Why punish the users if a developer goes inactive or just doesn't want to pay the fee?
