It could also be useful for releasing stuff like dupes, e2s, models, materials, and maps. Not just lua files.
Keep your 'fapfapfap' dupes inside workshop please.
Keeping the yogurt inside wouldn't be bad either.
Yeah, I don't want to speak for everyone else but I'd rather not go on CoderHire and see it as the workshop with a different theme.

To remove them it could be as easy as I checking the word dupe, and there are some good contraptions out there. Not all of them are stupid or nude Alyx.

Actually, one reason why dupes may be bad is because if you're browsing Coderhire, the likelihood is that you're a server owner and want things to add to your server. I highly doubt many devs would actively be looking for dupes :v:
Sounds like you just nominated yourself for the 'Free Script Moderator' position :v:
Hahah, it'd probably be pretty fun, but I don't really know anything about backdoors or exploits, which is most likely one of the biggest factors to take into consideration with this
I had this idea to stop leaks:
create a .dll that clients have to install on their servers to retrieve scripts from coderhire using server's ip.
The .dll do not store the files but instead executes them (with the c++ lua api?).
The server's cached CH scripts are erased upon server deletion.
Would it stop the leaks? Is it even possible? (can you decompile a running .dll? lol)
Terrible idea.

You can Decompile it. heck, you can even sniff the lua files from the network packages, if you wanna.
Also the Cache could be decrypted after some time.
The only thing that it would stop, are the 14 Year old kiddys, who buys a lot of shit and then charge the money back or something.
Also it got an flaw. You can't modify the Scripts. Like for instance the Flat MoTD on CH. I'm still using the old free version and modified it to my fittings. Something i couldn't do with an Cached script.

Who said only server owners would be using it, how about people who like going really in-depth in sandbox or something similar.
Terrible idea.
Well, thank you for rating me dumb and being so descriptible. You are a true helpful hand.

Oh I see. Didn't thought about modifiable scripts. welp, I guess theres no way to protect files then :/

When you don't put a lot of thought or effort into your suggestion, neither will I in my criticism.
CH layout changed? :v:
I don't remember this too wide
His ATM mod also took around 3 months to create... im pretty sure he can clarify the actual time.
but ARCBank has no competition.
Actually, to get it to what it is now, I can say it took me almost a year.
I mean, this is what it looked like when it was released (after said 3 months)

And here's it now

(These are pics I pulled from Google.)
Things have come a long way. The code is almost completely different compared to the initial releases.
And you're right. I really don't have any competition.
The last one was pretty good for it's time, though. RocketMania is a pretty good coder.
I'd like to report this script, it uses my code for the donation system.

Since CoderHire got bloated with scripts, they had to change the site to accommodate.
I see you made use of the hashtag in the site's link so browsing back and forth would put you on the right selected panel (Featured Scripts/ Staff Picks / Latest Scripts ) etc...

Maybe something small like this is different but you don't see Spy getting angry when there are jobs for converting FA:S2 for TTT, nor are they removed from CoderHire.
That's because he doesn't know how to do it and he doesn't care.

Its not a big deal really but I already dislike Coderhire and what its done to the Gmod community. And I would really rather that this guy not make money off an easy conversion because thats just not cool.

I completely agree with you here, it's just if they allow one thing they should allow all things of that type. By now the only people who don't agree with you are the poor ass coders living off CH and Adam.
Does CoderHire have any rules in regard to putting .dll files in the script you're selling?
Last I checked they don't but by using .DLL it would really make it annoying for Staff to make sure it's safe.
Last I checked they don't but by using .DLL it would really make it annoying for Staff to make sure it's safe.
I could include the source files for staff to read, or allow people who buy it to compile it themselves using a makefile.

No offence but I don't think most of the buyers would be able to know how to even compile it since most of them seem to have issues just placing the addon itself in the right place.
But I think the idea of you giving the source files to the staff would work but that's up to them and not me, Also if you don't mind me asking why do you want to use a .dll ??

The addon I'm looking to sell uses some things that are not in the standard Garry's Mod libraries, so I had to make my own implementation with C++.
If you don't mind me asking, What is the addon you're hoping to sell?
Dlls are fine as long as the source is available too.

I reported it about 1 month ago.
Glad finally someone can prove what I said about it.
I hope Adam doesn't think I am moaning this time T_T

I bought that and i'm too lazy to config it...I got a donation system a long ago, but had lack of customization, so i got this and was like...Urgh...This worth me 7.5$ dollars
Another question...It's this normal?

Oh, well, I said I am not gonna take a part in any affairs and I am sticking to what I said, but atleast I'll tell Zoidberg to make an account in here and explain himself or atleast contact staff.
