The banned enpoint in the users module shows the previous ban count, but doesn't have reasons. Also http://coderhire.com/about/api-documentation
Also with that thing, aren't we actually able to block script for banned people? @Falco. Personally, I prefer having all my code tidy since I post updates that mostly add or fix the stuff rather than changing it's functions (which also use DRP functions), but I know the cases in which it's worth trying to keep it as you said - coupled.
leak [...] your script
One cannot "leak" scripts that they own themselves. When one publishes one's own intellectual property, it's a release. By extension, people should not be banned for downloading scripts that you gave to them, directly or indirectly.

Well it looks like my dude did get paid for my work despite him saying he wasnt doing it for the money... Thats the last time I trust someone's word when money is involved
+1 Great Hirer, paid well, and asked for only what he put in the description! Didnt try to spam me with messages either when I was working on his stuff! 10/10 coders would work with again! Role: Applicant Job: Ammo dispenser SWEP

Well it looks like my dude did get paid for my work despite him saying he wasnt doing it for the money... Thats the last time I trust someone's word when money is involved
You know that... some people just double click at he 'feedback' area, pick one from previously submitted and hit 'Submit' ? @Falco Oh, yeah, and seems that 'decoupling' DarkRP.notify didn't work well because it printed error about local 'object' being a number value, so I had to do it like that. [editline]27th August 2014[/editline] I forgot what I came here for lol. How often are staff picks re-picked? Once per month, week? [editline]27th August 2014[/editline] Yay, another banned guy asks my customers for a free copy of Stuffed Printers lol.
@Falco Oh, yeah, and seems that 'decoupling' DarkRP.notify didn't work well because it printed error about local 'object' being a number value, so I had to do it like that.
I'm not going to test my code above, that error should be trivial to fix.
Well it looks like my dude did get paid for my work despite him saying he wasnt doing it for the money... Sort of figured it would go down like this. You've got the logs, report him.

I ought to talk to the guy he worked with and see if he was paid. I dont think I can report him though
He tried make gfx for me... was made in paint. dam bluebull
I talked to him and he said that he "copied" it from another of his comments. I ought to talk to the guy he worked with and see if he was paid. Edited: Just looked at the rep he left. He clearly implies it was his work by saying, "Didnt try to spam me with messages either when I was working on his stuff!".
The hirer confirmed, he wasnt paid
Let's use the same name, they'll never know! But yea, I actually liked the system QAC used when it was on coderhire, where it tracked what servers were running it and reported it remotely. It would get caught onto but would be useful if your script is getting mass-leaked.
qac used to log servers and i'd cross list owners/staff to my buy list i dmca'd a few dozen servers and 75% of them bought QAC once caught. the other 20% didnt respond/and/or take off qac 5% refused to, which resulted in RIP servers
How did you log servers zero?
http.post :v:
How did you get a website to take it (anal) lel.
what do you mean. you can just use a freehost and let it list websites that use x script. once coderhire started logging i stopped
Havent really used websites... so i have no idea how to pull list info. Similar to how coderhire does is what i want in my own API
5% refused to, which resulted in RIP servers
What do you mean by that, an exploit in your code to fuck their servers up? That doesn't sound moral.
I know who leaked it tho, well.. I got my suspicions. [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/bb9Ld/add10554a5.png[/img_thumb] -snip- Removed the purchases list, I got a tracker LOL Nevermind, the guy got banned lel.

It reduces leaks and makes takedown requests more swift. Also, consider actually getting it registered. I'm not a lawyer, but this works for me. You should also consider writing your own ELUA. Again, it reduces leaks.
What do you mean by that, an exploit in your code to fuck their servers up? That doesn't sound moral.
no i told the host they are refusing the dmca so, rip server. host shuts it down

Someone, long time ago said 'hey, let's put readme with our game, I bet it'll reduce amount of cracked copies' - meanwhile, top #1 on piratebay. Thanks for the tip tho.
if u want to reduce piracy. make it $999 then at that point who cares if they leak it :^)

Most leakers look at copyright statements to see if they would be taken down or not. Since most addons don't have copyright statements, it makes them ~technically~ legal. Hell, even if they don't look at it, having said copyright statements and ELUAs usually make things get taken down in less than 2 hours. (If you e-mail them during their working hours, ofc.) Also, you could release a stripped-down version for free... like a demo or something. Not entirely sure how you'd do that with printers, but hey, I'm just saying what works for me. [editline]28th August 2014[/editline] Most leakers are actually good people who do this shit out of the intention that they are doing good for others by giving what they have for free. While others do it because they think that they are getting back at CoderHire, and don't think of the individual developer. Basically, they're just stupid and don't know what they are doing. So, if you punish them before telling them the reality of the situation, they feel like "CoderHire" is an evil money whore... blah blah blah...

It doesn't reduce amount of sales, if someone uses leaks then it means he didn't want to spend money in the first place.
At least the main problem that i had when they released on leak.sx my bubbles addons, it's that the guy only leaked it for Rep, but there was one comment that said "Cool addon, i would buy it but i don't have money" I won't be rich with these 5$, but if he thought that's a good addon, but can't pay it, it's okay i guess (Never turned down a server by DMCA, normally if i caught someone with one of my addons, i would let them know about this and they get scared about their server beign closed by a 5$ script)

Besides, when I released my free version, my sales went up c: My personal favorite reply is:
Wow, thanks for that. I may just buy the paid one just because of this xD
[editline]28th August 2014[/editline] I guess the difference is that I see leakers as potential customers.
Currently I'm looking for good php framework to rewrite my donation system, the code got bit too large to manage. I'm bit curious what does coderhire use? CodeIgniter maybe? When your addon is leaked they are able to receive your addon for free. Unless your new addon offer new features than the leaked version people are less likely to buy your addon that they already have. And even if you release new features for your addon, your new addon will probably get leaked as your old one did. The addon you released for free had less features so people are willing to pay to receive more features of your addon. When leaked addon offers the same features as your current one, then less likely someone is going to pay for it.
Alright, I have tried to log into Coderhire many times. It always comes up with an error message saying that I have either not had steam for 6 months - I just checked, I brought Garry's Mod on the 6th Jan 2014 sooo errm... I don't own Garry's Mod - I do... Or that my account has been marked as an alternative account - I don't know why it would be, this is the only steam account I have ever owned... If there is a way to fix this, please let me know, because I would love to buy loads of scripts from the awesome community ;)
