Adam did a good job running CoderHire (in my opinion as someone who used it lightly). I am one who thinks a community without CoderHire (or a CH substitute) will be a better community, though.
http://coderhire.com/api/users/bans http://coderhire.com/api/reputations/all
Except I was banned unfairly, and two other accounts as well. This log is a bad thing to use for other sites. Many more users will probably agree. It's also common for users to get bad rep from false reports. It would be far better to start fresh.
I'm #5261 because of my last immature comment just to get rep and a ban :( I've never been banned nor said anything rude on CoderHire and I received a permanent ban. Contacted them for an unban after explaining the incident. {"id":"5261","steamid64":"76561198089999589","banned":true,"ban_reason":"Do everyone a favour and grow up","ban_expiration":"0","previous_bans":"1"}, because of this: {"id":"5261","steamid64":"76561198089999589"},"reputation":"1","message":"Swag yolo based god 2014 #CHDead #BestCoderOnCH #adamisafaggot"},
Pretty sure it's because you called the owner a fag***. Not to mention you said you did it for rep lmao
Pretty sure it's because you called the owner a fag***. Not to mention you said you did it for rep lmao
Does that justify a permaban from CoderHire and EVERY possible successor of it? This is as bad as public gmod ban lists. No person or company should EVER be trusted with this power. Bans can be malicious: for personal reasons, for saying something the person/company didn't like or because someone's CoderHire addon has the same functionality as one a CoderHire moderator was making. Even if we assume Adam is a good lad (which he is, really), AND his mods made no malicious bans, it's still wrong. Think of mistaken bans, think of bans that were made because of ONE stupid post on CoderHire. The banned person has NO way to get unbanned from other sites. CoderHire goes down and all the ban evidence, the mods who banned and the posts where people got banned will go down with it. The only thing a mod from a new site can say to someone appealing a ban from ch is "You were banned from CoderHire and I assume that ban was right.". The only way to appeal a ban would be to to go Adam or an ex CoderHire mod and convince them to talk to the mods of the new site and tell them to unban you. Adam and the mods would become responsible for many of the bans on every CoderHire clone that uses the ban list, both in theory and in practice. I'm quite sure they don't want this. One of the reasons for stopping was the drama. I'm sorry to say that with the release of this ban list, you will pull a lot of it towards you.
I'm now glad it closing, the drama its caused is massive, I just got banned for leaking, but some butthurt skid who tried to get me to set up a server host for him, write code for leaks and give him code commented so he can "learn" reported me. I gave him pointshop2. He had already bought it. He threatened me over Skype earlier today that he would report me for sending it to him. So yeah, without CH, no more of this shit. He also boasts about being a skid. [editline]5th September 2014[/editline] If what I did resulted in a leak, sorry kamshak

Having banned CH users banned on any potential clone automatically is just wrong. I didn't release the data for that purpose, but anyone using it for that purpose is not my responsibility to deal with. Right now the best thing to do is try not to start another idiotic problem. Coderhire is closing and it doesn't matter who was banned and for what reason. I suggest everyone to think twice before they post something.
Great drama guys, keep this up! * Opens a new bag of popcorn and a few pieces fall out *

And my account is still disabled, I want to buy this script but I can't. please do something. http://coderhire.com/browse/script/959/sleek-murder-scoreboard
You don't, not really :p
I found this screenshot earlier: [t]http://puu.sh/bmUuh/a86e5888b5.PNG[/t] rip
Thanks to coderhire closing, I went outside, played golf and won a trophy. It felt good. Outside is a nice place.
Thanks again for the ban infomation. In case others missed it: From: http://coderhire.com/api/users/bans And: http://coderhire.com/api/reputations/all I decided to run the SteamID64 through the util.TranslateSteamID that I posted above, and here again ( Basically, enter any form of SteamID, whether it is 32, 64 or U and it'll return all 3 SteamIDs back out in the same order ): https://bitbucket.org/Acecool/acecooldev_base/src/0edcf063a10b9c3d5029626baf3306a9bf4b79e4/gamemode/shared/core/util_translatesteamid.lua?at=master For those interested, code used ( fileio will be released soon ):
// Reading JSON data into memory local _chbans = fileio:ReadJSON( "coderhire", "bans" ); // Adding additional steam information to table for k, v in pairs( _chbans.success ) do local _steamid, _steamid64, _steamuid = util.TranslateSteamID( v.steamid64 ); v.steamid = _steamid; v.steamuid = _steamuid; v.uniqueid = util.CRC( "gm_" .. _steamid .. "_gm" ); end // Outputing as friendly table view, and as json fileio:Write( "coderhire", "bans_output", toprint( _chbans ) ); fileio:WriteJSON( "coderhire", "bans_jsonoutput", _chbans );
I did this simply to add the additional information to the table; so if anyone was using it and wants the 32 and U added, the links are below in a user-readable format, and json format. I personally am not punishing people for being banned from coderhire unless the following reasons show up: chargebacks, or leaker/leak-user, or scamming. Those accounts will be "flagged" upon joining my server so admins can keep an eye on them until they've reached x number of hours in the server without incident. I think it is a good resource to have available. Friendly output: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26074909/work/coderhire/bans_output.txt JSON Output: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26074909/work/coderhire/bans_jsonoutput.txt Edit: Added uniqueid to the output in case users are using pdata and only have that to compare..
According to my Chrome extension, your JSON is invalid.
Error: Parse error on line 1: [status] = success[ -^ Expecting 'STRING', 'NUMBER', 'NULL', 'TRUE', 'FALSE', '{', '[', ']'
I'm using util.JSONToTable and util.TableToJSON I just double-checked the files I posted, they convert to a table just fine within GMod.
So now that Coderhire is down... Can we make threads for a job? :)

In addition to the bans.txt I converted over and added more data to, I decided to go ahead and parse the reputation script too. Reputation can also be a good indicator who can be flagged, or deemed trustworthy... I didn't like the way the data was stored, so I rearranged it to make more sense ( direct access to steamid, score, count, etc ) But, I found something... The from steamid and the to steamid are both the same... The way it is set up it looks like there is a job id, message, message from one person to another, however the steam ids match... Original JSON ( 935kb ): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26074909/work/coderhire/reputation.txt Original Clean output ( 1061kb ): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26074909/work/coderhire/orig_reputation_output.txt My output with additional steam info ( 1,923kb ): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26074909/work/coderhire/reputation_output.txt Cleaned up ( 714kb ): https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26074909/work/coderhire/organized_reputation_jsonoutput.txt Organized: ( 792kb ) https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/26074909/work/coderhire/organized_reputation_output.txt I am working on something to clean up the revenge negatives ( by giving 1 out of the 2 taken away back ), by setting negative written reviews to 0 instead of 1 ( where people had some complaints ), etc.. To balance things out, because some people don't like giving negative for fear of return. This would be amazingly useful to say people at 80% or higher are trustworthy and give them a green flag, people under 50% a red flag just so no trouble is caused.. But, if the core data is not right then I don't know who these reviews belong to and who they are for. If I'm parsing the JSON wrong ( json to table... as in if I am not interpreting it correctly in how I am organizing it please let me know ).. If it is an error though, I'd love to see it fixed!
