Is attempting to charge back on his purchase of my Exp. System Skeleton and I request he be banned from CoderHire.
He contacted me asking for help on why levels were resetting. I told him that levels are not going to save themselves until he calls the PLAYER:SaveStats() function on a hook.
He then proceeds to ask the same question over and over and complain that I wasn't living up to my "Full Support Rule" when in fact I posted as to why I wasn't going to be able to fulfill it after August 26th.
Eventually I grew frustrated and told him: "Oi, I don't have time to deal with this shit. Goodbye."
And as usual proceeds to threaten me and insult.
Clearly, as stated multiple times in the description and even in the title; IT IS A SKELETON.
IT IS FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE EVEN A SMALL KNOWLEDGE IN LUA CODE.
Awh, I think you explained it really clearly to him as well.

Is it meant to be really damn hard to read the default text in the 'Your bid' section?

Nah I can't read it either
I've waited about a week on my reputation, I've had +1 since some time now and in my profile it says that I have 2 more +s coming, I've tried to relog but I still haven't gotten it. Shows +1 everywhere.
Point me to atleast one person who has more than 30 sales on his script and has something like "I do modifications for free, anytime" in the scripts description.
oh wow i just noticed there is.
i feel sorry for olive green

The new buttons are a big improvement from the blue ones, the divider makes it easier to distinguish either one.
I can't seem to comment on a script that I bought?
I forgot to post this the other day: There has been over $32,000 worth of scripts purchased in the last 2 months. I'm extremely proud of everyone selling their work.
On another note, visits to the site have almost doubled in the last few days (since Friday), so I'm going to assume the redesign you all hated is the reason. :v:

Perhaps there should be a tab that shows a list of those who have been banned from CoderHire.
That way, if they add you indirectly, via steam, you can see they have been banned and are not trustworthy.
For anyone wondering how Panda hiring me went, the answer is not well.
For one, it's been almost 2 weeks since I finished the scripts and was never paid for my work. I gave up waiting when he changed is profile from him lying about his Lua and PHP skills (see page 14 for more info) to him saying "Im gone. Not coding shit for no one. Bye." on his profile.
If anyone does not know, he was already banned from coderhire because he was reselling other's scripts. I accepted his job because someone on page 14 said he worked with the guy and despite major fishiness there were no payment problems.
I then saw these 3 addons appear in the addons section of the forums :
Anit-NLR
Some money printer shit
Some rank tag shit
I did not make the second two, though the first one was mine - I downloaded the fist one and saw he had simply renamed everything (file boilerplates and the author tag in info.txt). Despite the fact I was credited no where and that he lied through-out the page (saying it was bug tested 1000 times when he had declined to pay me when they were finished just in-case there were bugs). He's also accepting donations for the scripts.
He had obviously not told me he planned on doing any of this. He's also accepting donations for the scripts.
After seeing these posts I contacted him on steam, I was fairly calm and basically said "i don't really care, just pay me and i'll be on my way" since as I only really wanted the money to pay for a coderhire subscription, I didn't really care about anything else. He said "ok, i'm tiered can I do it tomorrow" to which I said yes. Haven't seen him since.
Here are three text documents he sent me instructing me how to make the 3 addons for him :
anti-rdm.txt :
anti-rdm:
okay so this may seem complex at first but all it does is check the damage logs for events to make sure it functions flawlessly!
if this doesnt work flawlessly it could greatly ruin the server.
okay so, this is for TTT. all that is mentioned below of course applies to people in the same alliance, such as detectives and inoccent and traitors
if an inoccent kills another inoccent this is rdm, so the user will be issued a warnning and slain (command = !slay <name>)
it will broadcast "<playername> has been warned and slain for RDM'ing <victim> 1/3"
once the user reaches 3 warnings they will be banned for 4 hours, on the second warnning, message to rdm'er :
" one more RDM and you will be banned for 4 hours and logged"
again of course, the traitor wouldnt get that warning if they killed inocent or detective, only if the person kills people on its own alliance!
now here is the only complicated part, the checks, to explain this best here are some scenarios:
SCENARIO 1:
1) bob (inoccent) initiates combat and inflicts 50 damage to tupac (inoccent)
2) tupac then defends him self and manages to kill the rdm'er
result = tupac killed bob (both inoccent) , but only bob will be issued the warning since he was the real rdm'er
result = warnning issued to bob and the broadcast mentioned above, and in this scenario no slays.
SCENARIO 2:
1) bob (detective) kills tupac ( inoccent)
result = regular broadcast and warnning.
SCENARIO 3:
1) bob (inoccent) initiates combat and inflicts 50 damage to tupac (inoccent)
2) tupac starts to defend him self and inflicts 50 damage to bob.
3) a third person ( or many more) sees this and starts to shoot one of them and kills tupac
result = because tupac died due bob, the third person does not get punished but instead bob gets the punishment and a different broadcast announced:
"bob has been slain for causing a shoot out and RDM'ing"
so in general once a user is banned for 4 hours when they rejoin their warnnings are reset, also a persons warnning is reset after 2 hours of no rdm'ing.
nlr.txt :
NLR ADDON:
When player dies in area several events will happen:
1) message to just the player : "You have died, please wait 3 mins before going back to that area"
2) a timer shows up at top-center of screen that looks like this:
http://gyazo.com/d639db15de461e37fc522ee97ff8d4fd
3) once timer runs out message to player "NLR time over, you may now return"
If the player was to enter the nlr zone when timer still on then these events would happen:
1) broadcast to server "<playername> has entered the NLR zone!!"
2) if he was to leave the zone then: " <playername> has just left his NLR zone, good..."
3) if he was to return AGAIN then message to just the groups called "mod","headmod","admin","superadmin" and "owner":
" <playername> has RETURNED to the NLR zone again!!"
4) this would happen in a loop by broadcasting message when they leave then return until the timer has run out!
all the messages should be color coded so the names are different color to rest of broadcast.
hitman.txt :
hitman addon:
please note all designs are shitty and done on paint, the actual thing should be symetric, proffesional and neat.all broadcasts should be color coded
so before i explain the addons here are the gui's :
hit placer menu : http://gyazo.com/2d68ea2b05d4ad508b10cd2cbd5ece71
gui above head flashing:http://gyazo.com/079b69b5f6aad0d0956f1c959c15c742
so the player types !hit, or /hit
and the hit placer menu pops up.
if the user presses "place hit" it will broadcast a message to the server :
"A bounty of <amount> has been place on <playername>'s head"
the flashing gui will then pop up above the persons head, it must flash between the two color theme shown, the flash must be slow and change color every 2 seconds.
once the player gets killed by the job called "hitman" or "slayer", it will:
- broadcast to server = "<Playername> has assasinated <victim> for <amount>!"
- payout the cash to the person who killed (they must be hitman or slayer to get the cash or have the bounty removed from the victim)
- remove the bounty from the victim.
only 1 bounty can be placed on a person at a time, if user tries to place hit on someone who already has a bounty on them it will say to the person:
"<vicim name> already has a bounty on them"
if 10 mins (configurable) goes past and user still not been assasinated then broadcast to server:
"<Victim name> still has a bounty of <amount> on their head and lives!"
this will then broadcast in 15 mins later. then 10 mins, until they are dead.
I would lastly like to point out I would have told him to fuck off way before because of him being banned from coderhire and being really fishy but he was affiliated with my friends so I accepted.
If he says that he pays for work that people do for him, he's partially lying, he'll try and sell those scripts, pay you and end up making a profit.

I usually ask for peoples profile before I do anything, and its usually safe to assume they are banned if they don't link you or have some reason why they cant.
Just a question to other scripters, how many chargebacks have you had? I've only had two, one resolved by talking to the person and one by a guy who got banned but just curious.
I made a goal to build a new computer from selling scripts on CoderHire.
Now I just need 18¢ to be able to get it.
Computer costs: $1,113.75
I have: $1,113.57
.. Just one more sale, on anything, just one more!
So damn anxious!
Just so everybody knows, this isn't how to get your ban reduced.

But he said please!
I had some guy called bedcorn who bought my script but got banned asking for access, do I have to provide him with manual downloads for the script if he gets banned?
I can provide proof that a script has been downloaded if it gets to the PayPal dispute stage, but I can't see that he's bought anything of yours on the site anyway.
[editline]3rd September 2013[/editline]
Also, just added a button on your profile to sync your username and avatar from steam.

I suggest to don't.
He bought my car dealer and because I didn't want to give him the latest version he uploaded it to the public twice.

I understand why, but I don't want some random person showing up at my house, that I've met online, and for some reason they hate me. People can do a lot of things in the real world. In the virtual world they can only do a few things, including: annoy me, ddos.
~At the "risk" of being rated dumb: I am pretty far up there on the chart that tells how many people hate me online. I don't want someone to find my address, then leaking it to the whole world. Who knows what people would do with it?

Im going to start with why you need paypal over bitcoin:
You kind of need to have some type of identification when it comes to handling money. Since money has real value. Paying annonymouslly is a hassle becuase you seriouslly do not know who bought what. Franklly bitcoin is flawed and since it is a virtual currency not held up by the gold standard of the world (*cough cough united states cough cough*) economy. If im making something I want to be paid in something that is universal in trade. As in cash.
As for your fears of someone coming to your house and "hating you" > hurting you. Well, you dont need someones contact information for that. Its as simple as tracking your IP. If your so paranoid someone is going to track you down, you might as well rip your computer out of its power socket, destroy it, and burry it in a junkyard 5 feet under the ground.
Welcome to the internet. Where bullies are kids and idiots are humans in a nutshell. Everywhere in between is everyone else. Accept it.
~At the "risk" of being rated dumb: I am pretty far up there on the chart that tells how many people hate me online. I don't want someone to find my address, then leaking it to the whole world. Who knows what people would do with it?
Being rated dumb should not just be like "oh people are gonna hate me psht haters". Its critism. Feedback. Telling you OUR, the reader, the lurker, the fellow facepunch user OUR point of view. Taking being dumb in stride and ignoring it will lead you to continue acting in a stupid manner and wind up having more people hate on you FOR being an idiot. The point of people rating dumb is a way to give feedback. If you get rated dumb, try and figure out what the fuck did i say which was stupid. It isnt just there to "feed the trolls".
Moreover again, dont need much to find someones address... simply your IP. And bam.
Moreover what would anyone gain from leaking your address to the world? Unless your a criminal and theres a huge bounty on your head, you shouldnt be in fear of such things.
BUTTOM LINE: The internet is tubes. No one needs you to hand out information to get shit. Simply being on the internet, and people can find out your identity. It aint going to happen. Relax. Enjoy life (or lackof.), and be optimistic.

If someone showed up to my house looking to do me harm, then considering I have swords and am kind of sadistic, I would chop them up until there was nothing left to chop.

How the hell do I do this encrypted sales thing that is going to be mandatory? I found the page on PayPal and it wants a .pem file or something.
