Is it possible to display the date when a change was made to a script?
What I mean by this is maybe next the the version in the change log, it could display the date when that update was released.
Just put the date above the changes you made?
A post on the DarkRP forums just reminded me that many CoderHire developers don't know about DarkRP 2.5.0.
If you have any scripts for DarkRP, they will probably break for DarkRP 2.5.0. DarkRP 2.5.0 is pretty much completely revised. Everything is documented much better now.
Here's a list of all DarkRP functions:
http://wiki.darkrp.com/index.php/Category:Functions
And a complete list of DarkRP hooks:
http://wiki.darkrp.com/index.php/Category:Hooks
Please look into converting your scripts to DarkRP 2.5.0. DarkRP 2.5.0 will be released on October fourth, but it can already be downloaded.

Wow actual documentation for a gamemode
Please keep on-topic.
Hmm, I don't see that date, is that your own script you made?
I just see this;

It's up to the developer to put in the date as a part of the changelog. I do it in my changelog.

Im sure if you ask the dev to add the date in the changelog he would. Not a hard thing to do.
When I click Purchased Scripts I get "404: Not Found"

If I remember correctly I was the one that complained about DarkRP's lack of coding standard, or rather FTPje's.
I was complaining that if there was a function called "addMoney" then common sense suggests that if there was a get money function it would be called "getMoney", whereas in some places in the code the naming of functions wasn't consistent. It appeared to be capitalized and written however he felt like at the time.
It's a lot better now, not just the function naming but majority of the code, it had to be done and it will take what, less than 5 minutes to fix your scripts?
Also the function naming isn't all lowercase, it's Lower CamelCase.
Considering all of the GMod API is upper camelcase, it's still stupid.
Did you prefer it when it was a mix of both upper and lower camelcase?

Fixed, thanks.
A random on my Steam list offered me "cool stuff" for my server, I guessed it was all from coderhire so went to take a look.

I know my info is vague and bad but hopefully it's enough to get atleast his account banned.
Sadly he is not even registered to Coderhire
Sadly he is not even registered to Coderhire
Search his friend list. He got the scripts from a friend then.
That is what I am doing ATM
[editline]12th September 2013[/editline]
Nope, not found. Many thanks for the report anyway!
No, but if it's a mix. Why not spend your time converting them to upper instead of all to lower.
The difference between gmod api and DarkRP api will be clear for new scripters. Besides, I like lower camel case more. The fact that gmod uses upper camel case does not mean every scripter has to as well. By that logic everyone has to use the C style operators and comments, the brackets around conditions and spaces before and after each parameter list.
It's fine if you want to be consistent with Garry's coding style, but don't complain if others don't.

If the coding standard is going too much off topic I can make another thread for it.
Changing functions to lowercase because i like it more, fucks everything else up.
Yea. This really hinders the ideal of multi gamemode scripts if darkrp has to have a 'unique' lua function table then every other gmod gamemode...
And thus is why I personally am not going to make the switch (and I dont think many devs will be rushing either.)
BACK ON TOPIC.
"we hate these circly icons, change em back!" -Everyone

"Okay, changed back" - _Undefined

"This is ugly we want the circles back! -Everyone again
And now were back to the circle icons in coderhire. Can people just make up their fucking minds?!
i love the circle
the circle is my only friend don't take it away from me
Circles are enabled by default but you can disable them in your settings (if you have no taste only).
The dropdown list that appears when you hover over the profile tab is a nice addition, what about the tabs in the About menu being dropdown also for easier access?
I think the little box with the share link should not have a white background or a border, it seems a little out of place, but that is just my opinion.
Here is what I am talking about;

The e-mails that you get from notifications should be compiled into 1 bigger e-mail every 30 minutes/hour. Stuff like this is annoying:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/eSbfePn.png[/t]
And it will send 10~ e-mails per day in different chunks. Just a smaller problem as you can re-direct the e-mails to another folder, but still would be nice.

Here's the thread I made:
http://forum.darkrp.com/threads/darkrp-api-casing-conventions.79/
Please continue the discussion on the DarkRP forum. If you really don't want to make an account there, you can post about the coding conventions in this thread. I would really prefer it if you posted in the DarkRP forums, though.
I hope to end all DarkRP camel casing posts in this thread with this one. Please reply to this post on either the DarkRP forum or the DarkRP thread I just linked.
Last night I had someone come to me reporting an error for my DarkRP inventory. I stared at it for a while until I realized that the gamemode that he was running was not DarkRP but rather some private gamemode that he wouldn't let me see the updated code for, instead linking me to an outdated version which very clearly wasn't compatible with DarkRP at all. Long story short, now he wants a refund.
I should probably just give him the refund because otherwise he'd just start a dispute, right?
He can start a dispute. Just call paypal and tell them it's a download and you will win and get your money.
I didn't even have to call them, I just let the dispute pass, and I still won it (2 disputes)
I have a dispute that ends in 19, I will let it and see what happens.
Question for Undefined. If the guy who bought gets his money back he will be able to download the script ?
Well, released my first script, and a first of it's kind (on CH), an Anti-cheat.
Has some stuff that I've never seen an AC do before so I'm proud of it :>

The moment someone makes a dispute their access from downloading the script is revoked. If they lose the dispute, then I am sure they'd regain access, but if they lost it'd remain without access.
As soon as you dispute a payment you lose access and never get it back unless the author decides to give the disputer access manually.
