Yeah, that's where the money I make comes from. What I'm saying is that it's hugely disproportionate to the transactions for jobs and scripts on the site.
Oh. Why dont you also get a cut of the sale? Like 5 percent
I'd have to deal with chargebacks and payouts to the devs. Though that might be worth the time, depending on how many would be happy with me doing that.
Oh. Why dont you also get a cut of the sale? Like 5 percent
-ninja'd- _Undefined, if you needed $$$ you could always use your own site to sell scripts couldn't you?
more work, more money
Well I would hope you are benefiting from the website, I would feel bad making all my money off your hard work. Very helpful though, I can take leave from school because sales and conversion to NZD count up to enough hours a week to count as a part time job.
Money is nice, but an education (in paper) is probably a little better.
I'd have to deal with chargebacks and payouts to the devs. Though that might be worth the time, depending on how many would be happy with me doing that.
I wouldn't mind. I mean you made the site, pay for up keep, and keep development on it. Or like said above you can sell stuff there too. :3
Money is nice, but an education (in paper) is probably a little better.
That is disputable. Also, _Undefined, you should add a "Donate" button somewhere for people who wish to do so. (I would do it)
Money is nice, but an education (in paper) is probably a little better.
An education costs money. A lot of it.
That is disputable. Also, _Undefined, you should add a "Donate" button somewhere for people who wish to do so. (I would do it)
Bottom of the page, http://coderhire.com/about/index
If you guys are happy with the work he's doing, you should donate. I did a while back and he was pretty happy about it to say the least
My maths was a little off at 1 in the morning after playing gta v. It's a few percent, not 0.5.
An education costs money. A lot of it.
Depends where you live. I get free education.
My $10k debt half way through college is jealous.
I'd have to deal with chargebacks and payouts to the devs. Though that might be worth the time, depending on how many would be happy with me doing that.
Customers probablly wouldnt mind since this wouldnt bother them. Developers would mind since its taking a cut off of there profit. The other thing you can do is take a cut on script sales. Being for every sale of a script, take ~5%. However if this is done I would make a developer license a one time fee. The reason is because your already taking money from each script on the site. Meaning it would be somewhat more acceptable to developers if they only need to pay a one time subscription fee, and on the otherhand having a small amount of their capital returned to you (_undefined). This would probablly add up quite fast and i believe would be a good compromise.
Also, being able to access your own scrips to your profile page would be cool, instead of going into the Scripts section.
This winner has bought my script and charged it back 3 hours later while I was asleep because apparently somebody donated and the rank is not automatic. I do not understand the point of going through every file when theres only one file for claiming the rank and its hooked to PlayerInitialSpawn. Never added me, tried to communicate with me or ask any questions which any normal person would have done either. Anyway, I'll give a full refund because I really cant be bothered arguing with some idiot who only has an ejin site but I hope something happens to them. This 'flowery' donation system gives me an idea for a new script though.
Publicly insulting your customers isn't the way to handle that. I don't know what you expected to get from posting that.
Publicly insulting your customers isn't the way to handle that. It would have made sense to seek support before you charge back for a product, but that didn't happen and I woke up to a chargeback and somebody who now has my script without paying.
Well she had purchased it. That's how the script was attained in the first place.
I deleted your script. You can check everywhere on my server and server host files, your script is nonexistant. Your instructions for the script were poor. You shouldn't have to rely on asking the coder with help with setup; your instructions should be clear as to how it works from the getgo. People use Coderhire typically because they do not know much of lua coding themselves if they are purchasing scripts. Expecting your clients to know what they are doing is far-fetched. Feel free to look at my server yourself, AJ, and my server website. Your coding is gone completely. edit: spelling

Personally I dont have a donation script, nor do I need one. So explain what was so confusing about instalation and use. 2) People use coderhire not just because they might not know lua coding well. Some use it to get things done they dont want to do or need assitence with in a large project. Othertimes for scripts, i personally get them because they look nice or something Ive always wanted done. Am I a lua master 420 haxor? No. Do I even know lua well? No. BUT I understand what needs to be done generally. It isnt hard to google what you need to do to fix things. Generally if I ever request anything from people, its more because I am lazy then cant do it. Therefore, speak for yourself for the reason you use coderhire. You do NOT equal the entire consumer base. 3) Why didnt you get in touch with the developer before you made a chargeback enhaste? Charging back and not giving feedback and even communicating with the developer is the equivelency of "steer clear of this person do not trust".

You never attempted to contact me via Steam, CoderHire or anywhere else that I could communicate with you, it was obviously an inconvenience for both of us due to timezones but you were online when I woke up so I could have given you a hand then. I would have been happy to help and even set it up once I woken up, but waking up to a chargeback when you never actually sought help was not a good start to my day.
Come on guys, take this somewhere private instead
I tried to post a comment and it said "You need to wait -234897234892 seconds before posting a comment" so I posted it again and double posted.
