how much is there on CoderHire that isn't actually related to DarkRP? I've often thought about wandering over but the ever-present threat of DarkRP server drama always makes me stay clear
If it's not DarkRP, then it's generally either for TTT or works with all gamemodes, from what I've personally seen.
So what he's saying is, he doesn't know how to read the instructions given with the script, so he gives his coder access to the scripts... Right...
For crying out loud. Some guy PMs me about a script of mine not working. Seeing as I had just tested it in a local srcds copy I asked him to try it on his end in vanilla DarkRP. He gives me shit about how I shouldn't expect them to clear out their server which is making $5k+/mo (lol sure) then reviews it and drops a star for "lack of support". He later PMed me saying it WAS their copy of DarkRP conflicting. What the fuck is with people? [editline]4th November 2013[/editline] Test it in a listen server you tool or better yet download a local copy of SRCDS like any server manager SHOULD have to test stuff.

It's not like it costs money to download gmod srcds, just an hour or two.

But most GMod server owners are horrible people and most people can't do basic troubleshooting, and if you combine the two you get super fun times.

They can't admit faults and try to better themselves based on mistakes. You'd think people would want to be the best they can be and figure out where they've done wrong so they don't have to rely on other people and keep buying things. Then again maybe that's just me. Either way, did they change or remove their bad review, Joeyl10?
FUK, I was about to make a new script and then I dislocated my middle finger, FUK
Atleast you didn't cut your hand open with a knife hand have to get 9 stitches like me... 6 days after you flipped and totaled your car.
Well this is my HF account I am not to sure if you can make 2 HF accounts cause they have an IP thing I don't know what else I can provide.
hahaaha you actually have an account on skidforums
I can't believe shitty forums that look like that even still exist.
Guys he has a Hackforum account, it makes him 10x more credible and 10x more spooky cos he might boot u if u disagree! how will u disagree if u got a 10gbps Dank Denial of Service attack on ur inernets. @KnoxvilleLAD Alot of people do buy scripts and have others install them like their community coders, it's hard to work and have a bunch of girlfriends when you are 12 so you get another 12 year old to do the work for you.
Atleast you didn't cut your hand open with a knife hand have to get 9 stitches like me... 6 days after you flipped and totaled your car.
Oh, yeah. Also that did make me feel better.
What baffles me more is that these people don't have any test servers setup at all. Failing that, i had a server that cost £3 for 10 slots per month, they can easily afforded it.

Pretty annoying as a server owner when a person complains about the server because their internet connection or computer sucks.
So this guy named purple is just giving out the Connextion Hud out on coderhire? His steam profile is http://steamcommunity.com/id/Tonytoot/ I am telling the developer right now to alert him. Please be aware of this guy. Here is the message he sent me (Some of it is blurred cause he pasted random code when I asked for the link)
I wonder what was in the hidden part.
I said already it was random code he had posted but I scribbled it out just in-case it was something from coderhire.
I said already it was random code he had posted but I scribbled it out just in-case it was something from coderhire.
Yeah well, I can tell there were like 10-12 lines of code so you should show it anyways, doubt anyone would use it.
Yeah well, I can tell there were like 10-12 lines of code so you should show it anyways, doubt anyone would use it.
It's not like anyone who could recreate the entire addon from a few lines of code wouldn't be capable of writing an imitation without them.
Why does it matter... it has nothing to do with what I was posting
Why does it matter... it has nothing to do with what I was posting
So says you, but what if you are trying to frame him ?
rofl I think you're overthinking it

Not sure where to actually report this, but I hope this'll suffice. So a few minutes ago this guy contacts me for help regarding my addon. Here is the chatlog:
[SNS]We Seek Fluffy Puncakes: hey Pac: Hello [SNS]We Seek Fluffy Puncakes: You know the TTT scoreboard you made? Pac: Yeah? [SNS]We Seek Fluffy Puncakes: You willing to help me because im getting a problem when i get 10+ people [SNS]We Seek Fluffy Puncakes: when they press tab all they see is a bar Pac: Did you download the latest update? [SNS]We Seek Fluffy Puncakes: ? i bought it like 2 days agoo Pac: And when did you last download it? [SNS]We Seek Fluffy Puncakes: Idk what you mean their after I bought it i simply added it to the server Pac: You don't know what the word "download" means? [SNS]We Seek Fluffy Puncakes: >> I do [SNS]We Seek Fluffy Puncakes: Ohh last updated 4 hours and 55 mins ago Pac: I've just checked my all my customers, and you don't appear to be on the list. Would you kindly provide proof of purchase? [SNS]We Seek Fluffy Puncakes: My donator bought it Pac: It's illegal to share it, which includes buying it "for others". [SNS]We Seek Fluffy Puncakes: ^^ Pac: I don't like my scripts getting pirated, if it's your donator who bought it, he is the one I'll provide support. [SNS]We Seek Fluffy Puncakes: Hmmk
So clearly someone he knows has shared my addon with this guy. Thus, I go to his steam account to investigate. And then I find this: [t]http://i.imgur.com/1Hdxkzt.jpg[/t] That guy, кѧүᵶᴇηѳ #Dingus, as seen here: [t]http://i.imgur.com/kmRBVqj.jpg[/t] is the only one of my customers affiliated with Fluffy Pancakes, and thus I think it's fair to conclude that he is the one sharing my addon. Here is Fluffy Pancakes's steam profile. Here is кѧүᵶᴇηѳ #Dingus's steam profile. I'm not entirely sure that it's illegal to buy scripts and share them, but if it isn't then I believe it's fair that кѧүᵶᴇηѳ #Dingus is banned from the site.
Not sure if we consider above sharing. It is clearly sharing, but how bad is it. I mean, if we ban for buying scripts purely for others, and not using it themselves, then I'd have to ban like half of my customers.
I'm kind of mixed on it myself and I'm not entirely sure what to make of it all. It all really depends on what Dingus does with my addon. I mean, if he just goes around giving it away in return for donator status, like what Fluffy granted him, then I'm entirely against it for obvious reasons, but if he's just a guy who has bought a script for his friend because his friend couldn't afford it then I have no problem with it. On the other hand, it's very difficult to actually determine what a person does with an addon when they acquire it, which would kind of make it a waste of resources dealing with it. I'm not sure, it's up to you guys to decide.
