'I just bought it and it doesn't fucking werk'
'Did you install it?'
'What do you mean, install it?? I downloaded the .zip file. It should werk now'
'Put it in your server'
'Isn't it already in the server? I downloaded it..'
'...'
'Support is rude and not helpful at all. 1 of 5'
Is that the most common conversation, customer and dev?
Just curious..

The thing that pisses me off is that I have 2 low ranked reviews because the first time around I helped them, it didn't end up doing shit and then they fix the install, admit the mistake but bam, the review is still there.
The staff were happy to remove my review when I asked, I had pointed out some bugs in my review that the coder fixed. Maybe point the reviewers in that direction?

I would place a notice ahead of time, and then refuse to help people if they have already rated you negatively.
You are a good man for doing so anyway, but this method is proven to work well on ebay. Negative feedback should be used as a last resort after someone is unwilling to work with you to fix a problem.
Not after the first sign of a problem occurring. If you just keep helping people anyway even though you keep getting rated negatively, you are encouraging this behavior and giving children all the power.
When I look at feedback I can already tell if most reviews were well thought out, or immature people who have one problem and throw a fit. 1 star neweggs written by "Grand Master" level techs that don't even know what they are talking about.
Newegg lets the manufacturers reply to the negative comments at least, so reviewers like me can see that they tried to establish contact and resolve the problem, even after the immediate negative feedback. That system is really more for the bad reviewers, because otherwise why would you bother to help them?

Hmph those commoners. I would like a system to report them for abusive feedback, and post logs proving you were doing your best to assist them.
Some people shouldn't have the privilege to leave ratings in my opinion.
It's honestly kinda worrying that there are server owners out there that can't install addons correctly. It sounds like you guys have to deal with some ridiculous customers.
A large majority of my customers are actually really nice and they appreciate my help.

Same, I haven't sold any scripts, but from my experience with Coderhire ( ~19 jobs ), I've never met anyone unpleasant :v:
I got a huge file in my download zip that says "BUG REPORTING HERE" and contains a link to a bug tracker, which does not require you to log in. 3 out of 20 bug reports have been posted in the bug tracker, the other 17 in the comments. Peoples lack of reading is silly..

It's silly of you to assume people will see that file. Most people just extract the zip into their addons folder and don't look at it further.
Which is abit strange because it's not always so straightforward to install something. How do they know its the correct folder they're dragging out and not that theres a folder inside the folder? They NEED to use their eyes.

Their eyes need to develop first.
I've had to deal with three assholes on Christmas Day demanding I update my script, you know who you are, and you know you were told to fuck off till boxing day. Your update will be out soon.

Just got a 1 star rating saying "doesn't work" because the buyer assumed that M9K weapons worked for my weapon drop addon. That's some pretty bad assumptions he made, when it clearly says in the description that you need to add the weapons to a whitelist before they will drop.
That's not the first time this happens.

That happens all the time Crappy Headie.
You can only talk to a mod (lol, you are one) to remove the review as it's unjustified.

OT: Do people even do jobs still? All of them seem to pay very little when in almost every case the script they ask for could easily sell for 10x more than they pay.

When I read the first part of this sentence I was so sure you are still on the porn-releated topic.
I do a few jobs here and there, though most of em arent coderhire wise, therefore I make them pay first
I'm pretty sure this is a leaked script:

Thank you :)
Fixed loading time on script pages. Comments, reviews and purchases (if you're the author) are now loaded with ajax.
Could you make the delete all button on the notifications bar only delete everything for the current notification tab you are on, so for example if I was on the scripts tab it would only remove all the script based notifications.
If my subscription runs out, can my content still be purchased from the site?
