Speaking of PayPal disputes, what's the usual resolution time? Guy is claiming "Unauthorized Payment" after paying for services; a good amount of my money is currently on hold.
Call PayPal and they'll usually sort it whilst you're on the phone.
Hey, I just bought a developer subscription yesterday and it's the first time I deal with Paypal and selling stuff. So I have a few questions:
1. Do I need to have a Business PayPal account or a personal one will just do fine?
2. Do I have to upload public and private keys to account or not?
Asking this because my friends can't seem to buy my first script, and I don't know why, I haven't messed up in the CoderHire settings, I think.

You need a business account and to do the certificates stuff.
I didn't need a business account. My paypal account type is Premier. I did the certificates myself.

Funny thing is, my christmas santa hat & map decoration code took about 5 minutes and was 30 odd lines of code. Yet I had crappy server owners who only ever run stuff from coderhire ask to buy them from me for $20 and I said no.
Yet coderhire would refuse to sell it for being a 5 second script :)

I haven't been particularly active on CH recently, but last time I checked there were still a lot of 30 second scripts ([i]any[/i] confident developer [i]could[/i] have made the script in under 5 minutes).
I saw security issues, bad coding practices and performance issues as much worse, though. People that buy the scripts should not have to worry about those things.
The last few scripts I've bought to make my life easier have had any number of the above things in the code which I had to fix or report. The target audience for these scripts would not and should not have to do this.
Security issues in code are generally included AFTER being approved. We do not check each new version of a script, only the initial one.
Also everyone seems to think we check for code performance and stability. These are not things we check for, that's up to the author.
And yes, at our discretion, some easier to make scripts are allowed on, usually because we or I know they will sell well.
On another note, I honestly don't understand these negative comments coming from someone who has profited from the site.
Just because they gain money from something doesn't mean they can't criticize it.
