Even if it was 2 years ago, I still don't trust you, the way you backstab people is just retarded. And yelling that coderhire wasnt around at that time, wont work. AFAIK you cant put up scripts which include others people work without permission. So i dont have a clue how you even got them on site...
I'm not yelling, i'm stating a point. I will talk to Jaanus myself if it means anything. Like I said, if it wasn't allowed- it shouldn't have been approved. And had I been told, I would have changed it. I even started modelling MYSELF to stop complaints about free-unlicensed-models being used after i was told that content (materials, models, etc) had to be made by MYSELF too (Which really should not be a problem, permission or not, it's not needed when the model doesn't have a license, it implies you can do what you want with it).
Oh so you thought "maybe they dont notice the models and i will get more dosh". Even tho you probably knew it was against the rules. Very clever.

what the fuck am i twisting
what the fuck am i twisting
You're trying to make me into a big bad asshole which that I am not. What's happened in the past happened in the past. I'm not proud of it, nor willing to bring it up. We all make mistakes, but we move on, learn and grow up.

you are an asshole, you are taking credit for stuff you haven't made. and you think its fine to do so
Aside from the drama, the model looks really nice. But, you know, I'm banned now.
you are an asshole, you are taking credit for stuff you haven't made. and you think its fine to do so
No. Just no. Did I, or did I not just say, I regretted things that I did in the past, did you completely disregard my previous post?
If you're aloud to use outside resources if the licence allows you to do or or you have the authors permission. Why would it even be allowed in the first place and why is it such a huge deal if it was obviously allowed for so long?
Ehh the website looks down, or is it me?
oh no
Would this be worth being posted on CH? I made it a few weeks before i got into making huds, and i figured id sell it. thoughts?
That's nice looking and not seen much like it before. Could make a few bucks from that, pretty sure that's not a '5 second script' either.
Just had something denied for being a 5 minute script but in a previous post Adam said: "And yes, at our discretion, some easier to make scripts are allowed on, usually because we or I know they will sell well." - the script fixes a major part of E2 for server owners and admins and is cheap :/
Would this be worth being posted on CH? I made it a few weeks before i got into making huds, and i figured id sell it. thoughts?
This doesn't exactly seem like a '5 minute script', since positioning can be a bitch to do.
That hud looks nice, don't know why it was declined :/
It wasn't, no where in this thread does it say it was rejected.
Oh, my bad read someone elses message and thought it was _Jacob's. My bad
Okay now it thinks I have 37 servers [thumb]http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/2014/08/1392641124-capture.jpg[/thumb] And it's not even a leak lol [editline]17th February 2014[/editline] At least I have the list of servers who recently bought or updated my script..

I really don't see how this would happen other than if you were downloading the files yourself from the site and then sending them to others. Here's the line to inject the current user's id into the lua stats tracking file, $this->user being the logged in user:
str_replace('{{ user_id }}', $this->user->id, $statistics_injection);
And the receiving end (the api side) uses a hash to make sure that the user id and the script id it's passed are a valid combination (so it can't be forged).
Oh I got it, I downloaded it from the site, updated it and re-uploaded it without removing the statistics code, woops. Actually it's the first time it injects the statistics code for me when I download it, I first thought it was disabled for developers.

This was recently added in due to some developers wanting to see the stats code. I'll update the code to make sure it overrides it with the users proper code. [editline]17th February 2014[/editline] Oh wait, the problem is that there are 2 stats files. I can't really remove them from the zip before sending the file. Just ensure yours is removed when uploading. I'll remove all the entries for your user so it's not spamming your list.

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't given a damn/'regretted' anything unless it caused something negative to you.
Glad it came back to bite you in the ass. I'm pretty sure you wouldn't given a damn/'regretted' anything unless it caused something negative to you.
Well if you talk to Caik he might tell you a few things about that. Like I said, I regretted what I did in the past, closed it all down, otherwise the website would probably still be up right now. The argument here is, the models are unlicensed, no permission is required- unless you want to explicitly DENY it, since you made them (IN which case, the only thing that would have happened was a DMCA, but you don't have a license, so it's invalid on that part. Secondly, i'm not an asshole, i would have removed them and told users to go download the models from garrysmod.org instead, since it's a free CDN) , i'll continue to be ignored though, even with a valid argument.
Copyright on creative work is automatic in the US/UK/other countries subscribing to the Berne Convention (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Berne_Convention_for_the_Protection_of_Literary_and_Artistic_Works). You were using work without the copyright holders permission, which is against our rules and copyright laws.

In that paste bin chat log you posted the guy made it clear as day to you that he didn't want you to use his models, regardless of 'licenses' you should respect that, espicially after not even giving him the slightest ammount of credit and branding them as your own custom models. It's no different than going into one of the many prop release threads and taking a few of them and packaging them in your script without permission from the original owner. Sorry if I'm getting this wrong here, but that's what it seems to me at least. ninja'd by adam who knows copy write stuff and I don't, oh well :)
I'd like to report a bug where you get notified to leave a review when someone gives you script access
So does this mean someone was actively selling his work with copyrighted material or that he used the material but claimed as his own?
The site is down for maintenance with the provider for a few minutes. [editline]17th February 2014[/editline]
I'd like to report a bug where you get notified to leave a review when someone gives you script access
Fixed.
How did this guy become a trusted coder His comment:

I was not under the impression that unlicensed software requires such an exclusive permission.
