I'll tell you who this guy reminds me of? serverwatch. Who remembers that guy.
I hope he's remembered for the good stuff! :)
I doubt people would want to move from ScriptFodder after spending 300$+ bucks on scripts.
We apologise in advance for this being our first post under this account. However, We would like to introduce to you 'ScriptBuckit', A multi-platform games content marketplace. ScriptBuckit allows Developers to make their own customised content available for purchase. You are able to create an advert free of charge, displaying a description, banners, screenshots and your price. Your advert will be displayed in our Mods and Scripts section and will be available for purchase once verified non-detrimental. With our automated download system, ScriptBuckit offers a friendly, Secure environment to make transactions a pleasurable experience. Unlike what may appear to be similar marketplaces, ScriptBuckit doesn't charge developers a monthly subscription to advertise. We believe this is a bad marketing technique which has often led to developers reducing script prices in order cover monthly fees. At ScriptBuckit, You are charged a 5% fee in relation to every sale made; if you don't sell any content, you don't pay anything. Not only are you able to submit your content, you are also able to create a job for other developers looking for work. Our job system allows Client to Developer interaction featuring a web based chat with file upload features. The client creates their job, including a description; specifying their budget and allocated time-frame. Developers are able to view your job advertisement in the jobs section and if they are interested they can make a proposal. Inside a proposal the developer is to respond with a message to the client. This should include the developers counter offer price and estimated time frame to complete the work. Once the developer has completed the job, they should provide protographic or in-game evidence to their client. If the client is happy with the proposed product, the developer is to upload the completed product and the client has to make a payment to the developer in order for the final product to be released. The developers ScriptBuckit account balance will be debited a fixed 5% fee in relation to the final agreed job price. ScriptBuckit features a forum for members, Sections include Official Announcements, Suggestions, General and Scripting Discussion. If you have a problem with your experience at ScriptBuckit we have a responsive in-house ticket system with an experienced technical support team to resolve any issues regarding ScriptBuckit, any of its services or members. If you are concerned about your contents whereabouts or you are fan of statistics, we have an API to keep track of things. Our API allows Developers to call and post information such as server IP Address, Port and Host Name. We have a FAQ section for anything that we havn't covered, if you still have questions, please feel free to post on the forums. http://scriptbuckit.com
Dispite what everyone says, this beats scriptfodder by alot. Scriptfodder may be popular but it sucks, people use it cause it was here first. Thank you for making a better website that has categories a bit larger than scriptfodder's!
That 5% fee on jobs really makes me not want to use the site. PayPal also takes 5% plus a fixed fee of any earnings you make so your basicly (if my maths is correct) loosing out on 7.5% plus a fixed fee of the money you make, and if you aren't in the US, currency conversion fees as well. [editline]7th March 2015[/editline] Basilcy PayPal's fees are enough without an extra 5%. [editline]7th March 2015[/editline] I do have to say though, the site is really well presented.
I'd be ok with the Fee system if the fee can hit a ceiling of $10 to $15 per month ( as I suggested the other sites should use ) instead of being unlimited.
The 5% idea isn't the worst idea, however the implementation of a negative balance is a terrible idea. Although you're severely limited by choices due to PayPal regulations on the matter. And nobody gives a fuck if you've got 7 years coding experience. You could have started at recently and be better than a guy doing it for 20 years professionally, just makes you sound extremely arrogant.
Personal opinion. I think this whole SB idea is just "give me a slice of your pie".
What do you mean by that?
What do you mean by that?
SB profiting directly off of others' income, taking some of that income for themselves. Basically freeloading.
SB profiting directly off of others' income, taking some of that income for themselves. Basically freeloading.
Ahh yes, your more than welcome to cover the server costs if you like? That will defiantly make my bank account feel allot better! :)
Ahh yes, your more than welcome to cover the server costs if you like? That being said nothing wrong with making a profit it just seems like 5% is a rather large cut to take so early on.
Ahh yes, your more than welcome to cover the server costs if you like? Its fine to say "Anyone can upload scripts and make money off them" like you are doing everyone a favor but noone like losing money to do it. Scriptfodder uses a subscription instead of a fee which is arguably better. You pay a fixed amount of money each month (Or what ever period) and no matter how many scripts you sell or how much money you earn, you still pay the same amount. However, a website's sole purpose should not be to provide revenue for you to live off. Get another job or sell your own scripts on your own site and get an income to complement the income from your website. Once this happens, your website becomes less about generating money and more about improving customer service and experience, which in the long run, will do better for you and your website.

It looks about as trustworthy as one of those "What you need, when you need it" websites. Regardless of your intentions, that's what it looks like. Post on your Facepunch main. [editline]7th March 2015[/editline]
Personal opinion. I think this whole SB idea is just "give me a slice of your pie".
Remember, Garry's Mod is a business.

[editline]7th March 2015[/editline] Remember, Garry's Mod is a business.
Still, it would cost me approx ~18.75$ a month, now I imagine how much other creators would have to pay. @edit: can't tell you the exact values and who exactly would have to pay this much because it's a private data, but 2 people I did the calculation for would have to pay: ~57.5$ a month and the other one would have to pay ~42$.. UHMMM.. NO, THANKS. Now imagine these top-selling people not moving to SB, people would be furious that they aren't getting their scripts on SB aswell. @edit2: nvm, the guy got banned anyways, thread should be closed.
Why not have a max limit per month? Like 20 dollars
The games you can mod are amazing! I will be posting a job for someone to mod Scrabble 2013!
Just a side note, the owner of ScriptBuckit has now decided to remove the fees completely, this means it is now free to sell all mods and scripts without any limitations.
I would still not trust uploading my files to the site, changing the fees means nothing to me. The website seems like it was just rushed, even if he has 7 years of coding experience.
Just a side note, the owner of ScriptBuckit has now decided to remove the fees completely, this means it is now free to sell all mods and scripts without any limitations.
CoderFlow anyone? As said before, muscling into a market already catered for isn't going to work.

First he moans about covering server expenses, now he let's us use it for free? It's fishy as fuck.
Just to show everyone how much of a joke this site is. Just so you know I was only a member to get downloads of my leaked scripts and I never registered on your site. I 100% the dude running this site was apart of Net Leaks. I never registered with this site but received an email.
Can we just leave this die?
Other than being friends with CraigTunstall, I doubt he had anything to do with netleaks, however should probably privacy protect his domain before someone orders him a pizza.
Eheheh. I have no idea who that 'mejster' guy is.
Probably got the emails via paypal.
They also seem to have a legit userbase...:v: some1 pls teach me how to go from 30 users to 3000 in a day??
