I've tried to submit at least 10 times today. I assume it's worked, and my title still links to it as well, but here's a link just in case.

I love the readme lmfao :)
Received five submissions so far. One from 0x5f3759df, Demonkush, Zet0r, MrBootsHD, and Bobblehead.
I can't wait to see the outcome of this.
My vote's for Zet0r, because I'm biased and know him from other stuff. And he's a damn code magician. Go Zet!
Welp, I (reluctantly) submitted my unfinished gamemode. It doesn't even incorporate the theme in its current state :(
Nooky convinced me to submit it anyway, not sure why he did.

Meh, the only way I included the theme was by a gimmick that makes my gamemode even harder to figure out.
If you worked on something why not at least submit it. That's my philosophy anyway.
Submissions are done, so everyone tune in at 5 PM Eastern. I should have a stream goin.

We all know what you're capable of. It's going to be neat to see your concept either way. :)
sorry for the late submission

theres my gamemode, gl to everyone else.
For all those who have submitted their gamemode whether it's finished or unfinished, thank you so much for contributing to this competition. I've only tried 2 gamemodes so far (Aritz/LegoGuy and Demonkush) which I've found both extremely fun. It was honestly cool seeing what they've created and I appreciate it a lot. I hope to see more gamemodes on the livestream tomorrow and hopefully, players who aren't judges like myself can try them out when needed. Good job to all of you!
Sadly, before I got off last night thinking that I was all done, I noticed that I left in a pretty major bug ( yet a pretty small mistake ) that results in a crash and by that time it was passed 12AM EST, so rip. I fixed the issue on my server, but of course I did not commit anything else to my GitHub repo.
Whenever you pickup a weapon that's been dropped ( which is pretty common ) the game immediately crashes/hangs. Don't have much hope for success at this point since it's a rather game breaking issue, but I am at least satisfied that I produced a new gamemode for the Gmod community. I'll commit my fixes after the competition results are finalized. Except for the judges, I recommend not touching my repository until then, if you want to try it out just join my submission preview server.

I see absolutely no reason why a simple bugfix like this shouldn't be allowed to apply to the competition's version. It's not like you're pushing a bunch of content in an unfair manner.
sorry for the late submission
This joke is quickly becoming the "if it doesn't scan it must be free" of this competition
I had a list last night of whomever submitted, so a small bug fix is fine.

Awesome, I'll get that handled as soon as possible. ( right now )
EDIT: All done!
The steam will be here shortly, can't wait to play the gamemodes; https://www.twitch.tv/nookyava
Ehhh... Hope I'm not going first, I'll be mentally/virtually present in like 20 minutes.
First gamemode, Chestbursters looks fun.
I would be willing to host a good gamemode somebody made on a good 32 slot server...
given to you of course
I'll host anything that doesn't need moderation as long as people play it. Will have some servers up in an hour or so.

I'm glad everyone came and watched, as well as those who participated. Prize money should be sent out soon, within a day.
This marks the end of the 2016-2017 Gamemode Competition.
Suggestions:
If people are interested in having another one, would summer be a better time? Same amount of time, perhaps?
Do you think the theme was too restrictive, maybe should have gone without one?
Were team limits a killer for people?
Please post any feedback.
My main thing is this as well...
Would people be interested in me hosting another one in Summer? I would gladly do so, and hopefully take the experience this gave me, and make it better. If not, I obviously won't take it personally.
I think it would be a pretty cool idea if there was a server for each of the gamemodes that were submitted so people can play them after the judging.
Also congrats to the winners!
Well I'd love to participate but I'm really slow coder and know very very few tricks and such. Maybe a competition for people who are shit?
Well, I can't say I'm not dissapointed, but I'm glad we got nice gamemodes out of it.
On the plus side, I don't have to sign up for goddamned paypal now.
Judges seem to want feedback:
Very good compared to previous competitions, especially considering money was involved. Nice job getting sponsors, and nice job judging fast.
In retrospect I feel like timing was pretty bad, It would have been enough, but a lot of people had school and finals halfway into the compo.
Another summer contest would be great. I'm not sure I'd enter but that's what I said after Ragdoll Combat.
I might take someone up on an offer to host a server but I'm still probably going to take a break for a few days.
Summer would be better. Can I help hosting???
I love seeing some kind of activity spurring content creation for gmod, good job getting sponsors and good on the gamemode creators. It's cool how someone can organize something like this over the internet relying on the users to fuel it.
Weren't that many submissions, but I'm still satisfied with the turnout. I thought your gamemode was wicked Parakeet, and the margin between our scores is crazy.
I think Nook did fine hosting it, I think he'd do fine hosting it again. If there's another contest during the summer I'll definitely be there. The theme was fine too, there's a lot you could do with something like that by thinking outside of the box a bit.
Currently; it's been one of the best competitions I've been in and I'm proud to have been part of it.
Nookyava was an absolute awesome host and Guurgle a geni, for fixing any problems we had encountered.
We've been talking about creating some new tools, to automate and make the next competition easier.
