I'm re-writing my cellphone, and this time I'm adding games!
You should make some functions so people can add there own games, without editing core code so they can still update it fine.
Should make a java bytecode emulator so you can run android apps.
Should make a java bytecode emulator so you can run android apps.
it would actually be a dalvik bytecode emulator

That's exactly how I was writing it. The games button is a separate addon in fact! The biggest reason I re-wrote the entire thing was to have everything be modular.

I plan to have a leaderboard for the game, so community members can compete. Multiplayer games would be possible too, such as Tic-tac-toe, or card games. It would also be very possible to have the player "pay" for the games (using pointshop, darkrp money, ect)
Also, what kind of simple games should I add next? Flippy Avian? Pong?
[editline]13th March 2017[/editline]
Ohh, a DarkRP-integrated stock investment system would be neat. Much like GTA. Or some other kind of betting or lottery. Something that could serve a greater purpose

Well, it seems my work with Dark Souls is coming along quite nicely. I do not regret this decision.

How on God's Earth do you get that many frames per second?
it's 60 fps m8
How on God's Earth do you get that many frames per second?
Uhhhhh I know this one... Magic? Did I get it right?
I'm running a 1070GTX so that's probably why, and my motherboard has hyper threading.
it's 60 fps m8
Idk if that's what he was referring to lol.
I think he mean that darksould 3 is known by having a really bad performance issues
I think he mean that darksould 3 is known by having a really bad performance issues
Oh lol, this guy is from Dark Souls 1, I can get Dark Souls 3 stuff, it's just a lot harder to do and takes a lot more time to accomplish sadly. The Abyss Watchers were by far the hardest to get working due to no preservation on the root translation.
I meant that the video was extremely smooth. I get hundreds of FPS but it never looks so crisp. Idk what it is.
Videos will always seem smoother than actually playing, it's much easier to feel choppiness than it is to see.

60fps and ShadowPlay.
Everyone should know what ShadowPlay is by now to be honest, but basically it's an encoder that's built into the NVIDIA graphics cards, meaning that recording will have close to no impact on performance, hence framerate staying high and pushing the newest frames into the picture.

That's what I use but I think SirFrancisB is probably hitting the nail on the head: videos always look sharper than gameplay. Maybe since we're focusing on our actions we can't stop and smell the FPS, so to speak.
Naturally, like most of my projects, I'm off to a brilliant start.

I do get stable framerate on Gmod, I'm just using my Nvidia recording software to record in 1080p60fps. It comes with Nvidia GPU's, so if you have one the shortcut should be alt+F9, and alt+Z to determine which screen to start sharing, I recommend doing this if you run in window mode and go to full screen. It's a good alternative if you don't wanna use Fraps or Bandicam, IMO at least.

Coming along nicely, I think.

I like it but boy is that HUD giving me mixed messages.
Aged 1950's nuclear age traitor menu, modern flat UI health zone (With my own steam image which is weird and takes up space for no reason), WW2 guns, and if I'm not mistaken Spy's XP bar.

HUD was made by a friend, my own xp bar for a seperate thing, ww2 gun is just my mp5 reskin (remodel?) client side. The T menu is just what I was showing off.

I made the HUD custom for him, which I showed off about a year ago here in WAYWO. The avatar is disabled by default and is toggled per-client, but regardless that's not what he's showing off and it's obvious he's still working on reskinning anyway. :p It's what are you working on after all!
I would love to hear feedback on the HUD, pip boy aside, if you have any complaints in particular!

Obviously I have no complaints but seeing as a1steaksa has planted the idea in my mind I may make my own or change it so it mathes the T/D menu. Sorry babe <3
Just made a simple way to customize your accessories to fit your playermodel today.
Modifications are stored using cookies, sent to the server if the modification changes or you equip the item, then networked to all when the cosmetics are applied to the player. You can rotate the model as well (playermodel and item), just didn't show it in that video. Had to fit a lot in a small space, so tried to make things as simple as possible from a user standpoint.
Looks pretty sweet! Do you plan on changing the UI? The design doesn't look that great; it looks really "outdated" in other words.
after an hour of [del]internal hemorrhaging[/del] googling and learning more about stencils, I finally got intersecting volumes to work.
[vid]http://zombine.me/file/2017-03-16_22-58-49.mp4[/vid]
The first area shown is cylindrical volumes, and the second is spherical volumes. I'm currently working on box volumes, but that shouldn't be too hard since I got the annoying ones out of the way first.
If we could write shaders, you could make some sick ground fog with that like in Quake 3. I almost can't believe how simple that technique was, and how effective it looked back then.

i tried to make the edges fade out for the cylinder as it got close to the top/bottom, too, but realized it was going to end up being too expensive to do. having my own shader would probably be helpful, too, though I want to believe there might be a way to do it with a .vmt parameter...

You should request shader access here.
