You're calling a function to draw a players model in a hook that's called before a players model is drawn. Do you not see the issue there?
I wanna override player rendering at all, but without using RenderOverride.
I wanna override player rendering at all, but without using RenderOverride.
here is the function order:
PrePlayerDraw
-> Player is drawn after all the PrePlayerDraw hooks are called
PostPlayerDraw
You need to find a way to fit what you're doing into two separate hooks, or simply use RenderOverride instead.
Don't bother with RenderOverride on players if you plan to allow weapons. It bugs if you have any weapons equipped. Unless someone has figured out how to fix it yet.
Is anyone else experiencing server crashing without any reason? I sit in my car do nothing, or grow weed with MYSELF. And the server crashes, anyone having the same issue? ( Happend after the update )
I don't know a thing about it but in the interest of saving you time, get your crash logs/dumps online somewhere, there's no other way to investigate someone else's crash.
Also, I don't think we need to know about your illegal activities just because they happened at the same time your server crashed.

...so give us the server's crashdump?
...so give us the server's crashdump?
i don't know why the server won't make dumps, if there is a command line option or something that has to be present then i don't know about it
i don't know why the server won't make dumps, if there is a command line option or something that has to be present then i don't know about it
The crashdumps normally are in the root folder of the server, eg where the srcds.exe is. If your server providers doesn't give you access to it, contact them.

i know where dumps are located, the server crashes without creating them, not next to srcds, not in the dumps folder, not anywhere
Since the latest updates bullets arent networked properly anymore.

I can imagine that you are testing without any addons right
Is it just me, or does lua autorefresh sometimes freeze GMod?
I can imagine that you are testing without any addons right
We've had the same addons for atleast 1 year.
We've had the same addons for atleast 1 year.
Servers keep having a constant playerbase, when absolutely nothing changes.
A thing of the normal.

gmod sometimes freezes lua autorefresh
Is it just me, or does lua autorefresh sometimes freeze GMod?
It started happening to me in the latest update for some reason. I didn't have the problem when I was on Dev branch, but once the update got released and I switched to the stable branch, I now have this problem. So many times I have opened Notepad++, GMod just freezes forever, so I have to force quit Gmod

you could not be any more unhelpful when reporting issues. code to reproduce, videos, literally anything but you always just have some one sentence issue that nobody else seems to be having.
[editline]21st October 2016[/editline]
like seriously man you gotta make an effort here to show that something is wrong otherwise everyone's gonna assume your code is just wonky

Oh sorry, mister.
Just head to a multiplayer dedicated server, shoot with a defined lua created weapon, like a TTT weapon.
The issue is, sometimes the client does not run the shooting function(I guess ShootBullets), but the server recieves it.
This is best shown when shooting with a weapon, then instantly reloading it.
Before the update, the only effect that had was no muzzleflash appears, after the update no shooting sound, no muzzleflash and not even a bullet hole appears, tracers however seem to work.
To mention it did only happen to me on 66 tick servers.
33 tick servers are not influenced by this.
So what you are saying is that TTT weapons have shit prediction after some community changes? And it miraculously only affects 66 tick servers?
Quick! A GMod dev is in the thread, point attention to this!
My time to shine again!
So! As I've pointed out several times now, Awesomium is garbage and the situation is getting worse all the time for it, and Cinema and Media Player specifically continue to suffer greatly because of its close to complete lack of HTML5 Video Support.
As myself and others stated last time, we stand in support of Adding an Alternative VGUI Browser Panel that uses the ISteamHTMLSurface API.
To reiterate, what we are suggesting is not that this VGUI Panel replace Awesomium, especially since Garry seems very against that idea, but an alternative, implemented separately to Awesomium, that GMod developers could work with. It would be completely optional.
Now, as you may know from last time, Willox responded to the suggestion, saying "We're not against the idea, but don't expect it for the next update. Asking people to post non-useful responses to any [Garry's Mod GitHub Issues] isn't going to do much. Use the forums for that."
In response to Willox's statement and as the update has now been released, we would like to once again bring this up for consideration and, as we dearly hope, an implementation of some form that will finally solve this issue once and for all. It remains an issue which, if continued to be overlooked, has the ability to impact at least 1.18 Million Players, which is approximately 10.67% of all the players that own GMod (based solely on Cinema's Workshop Subscriber Count and SteamSpy's Stats on Owner Count).
So, once again, GMod Devs! Please consider this. I thank you.
Actually it does happen in sandbox gun bases like my own too.
I am nearly entirely sure the update caused that.
I did not change anything that way.
I never saw that happen back in the days.
Maybe it does not happen that often on 33 tick servers, because the weapond there shoot slower.

No, that is not the point.
It seems like GMod got the boogies in the last update. Screen resolution is 1280 x 1024. Lamp tool is the only one affected it seems.

It's the SPOOKY update after all.
Seriously though, it's due to how bad the scroll panels are, and it's not that easy of an issue to fix.
FWIW chrome seems to just pick one and stick with it in a similar situation.

Edit: seems that, if it sticks with the "no scrollbar" option, I can still scroll with the mouse wheel.
That is caused by the material browser in this panel.
When the panel gets it's scroll bar its inner width reduces.
This causes the material browser to shrink in its width as well. Because its size is kept at its proportions, the height shrinks too.
This causes the panel to remove the scroll bar as everything fits inside now.
The remove of the scroll bar causes the inner width to increase again. This causes the material browser to get bigger as well, so a scroll bar is needed again and the loop repeats.

I think, it uses a Schmitt-Trigger to prevent issues like that.
I know why it happens, you don't need to break it down jesus

I don't think he was specifically talking to you, either way it's nice to know about these issues and what causes them for future reference
