redoing the server browser to hide things that the average user has no need for seeing. they only see what they need to see with this
User types "status" into console. There, everything you've done is for nothing. It's literally impossible to hide your IP from the client, it literally has to know the IP in order to play on your server. Stop being so dense and listen to what EVERYBODY is telling you - What you're looking to do makes no sense and it is IMPOSSIBLE to hide your IP from the client

The IP still shows up on the right hand side-

gmod server browser is included in this project along with the legacy browser aswel. as for status in console I will be getting to that later to have it solved aswell. right now I am focusing on other parts of the project [editline]6th July 2017[/editline] also no I will not be stopping with the project regardless of how many times you comment saying I am wasting my time.

basically a entire rework of the server browser and game main menu. it is also going to include doing the same for the steam server browser aswell. after doing what I can with the open source files I will work towards changing commands such as status for the console aswell as a few other things. the hiding IPs is just the thing that started the idea for this project in the first place
You cannot just "change" or "hide" your IP. Because the client will need something to connect to. Hosting it at a hosting company will make your server use their IPs which will prevent DDoS attacks coming to your router. [editline]7th July 2017[/editline] Also for the guy who is "reworking" the server browser thingy, you're waisting your time. If the client connects to a server and types 'status' in the console it will still show the IP. And how do you think that Valve will accept your thing and implement it?
