Unless the module is somehow completely serverside, clients have to download/install it manually before joining, right?
I can't speak for the judges, but I'd imagine that whatever you enter would have to be a gamemode people can just hop in to easily without external installation.

I very much want to see what everyone can create - however I also want to make the results of this competition easy for any server owner to grab and start up something.
I'm torn - but I have to agree with Matt. I'll allow it, but it may end up hurting the score.
Last time was fun, but I did promise myself to actually finally get around to finish nZombies over the summer. I may participate if I get a brilliant idea after the restriction/theme is revealed, so if it's all good to join just to hold a spot for just in case of that, then I'd be in.

I'd have to say it all depends on what you plan on this library doing.
If you're planning on starting by making a library that's a little eeeh, but I'd be foolish to expect to control that.
This is an awesome competition, I am looking forward to seeing the creations. PS: I can already tell those pool $$ are gonna fly in so people can get a community shoutout haha

You say it is during summer vacation, but many people aren't out by that time. I get out the 15th and that week is finals. I'm not planning on entering as I would have to learn lua from scratch but, you know.
I'm definitely interested in entering this.
If anyone is actually interested in forming a team, contact me if you want. Even if you don't code; designers, modelers, even people with good ideas are highly needed.
I would love to see some new public gamemodes. This will be interesting and hopefully has the best outcomes for everyone in the GMod community.
I've got no real merit other than bringing a potential early entrance into Australian servers, but if you lose a judge or whatever, I'll give a beer / kangaroo based opinion.

Probably not. I'd say they're only interested in how fun it is.

Make whatever gamemode your heart desires. I want this competition to be more based on what people can/want to make, and not based on a million restrictions like last time.
TL;DR - I'm curious to see what people do. So no it does not have to be original.

I have it in the OP - but I've loosened the restriction on using external libraries. This means as long as it isn't the majority of your gamemode I'm fine with you using them.
Is the entirety of the prize pool awarded to first place? Or distributed to the top X gamemodes?
