Is it an issue still?
Fine at the moment for me, was really bad a few days ago though
Is it an issue still?
Comes and goes. The whole site can be down at times. I'll post when I notice it happen next.
Oh ok, when it was bought up I was under the impression it was happening to you right now.
I was using the site when I was trying to code my Game-mode, wont be doing that again. That shit is like a horny 13 year olds dick, up and fucking down every goddamn second.
Oh ok, when it was bought up I was under the impression it was happening to you right now.
Well right now it's slower than a tortoise taking a shit bigger than itself.
It doesn't even fully load!

It was fine when I posted my last post in this thread.
fast here
Yeah, for me too now. It was slow for a couple of minutes and now it's fast again.
Damnit, I hate bugs the developer can't reproduce. The only way I can tell you to reproduce it is "try to use it more often, you'll hit the lag some time"
edit:
Is the wiki automatically updated in any way? Like the build bot for GMod builds. That might lag things out?
Looks like the slowness has been fixed, great job!
Could these pages be deleted? All have broken redirects.

These have infinite redirects:
[del]http://wiki.garrysmod.com/index.php?title=Using_Metatables&redirect=no[/del] Removed
[del]http://wiki.garrysmod.com/index.php?title=mtable&redirect=no[/del] Removed
Pointless pages:

[del]http://wiki.garrysmod.com/page/Category:Modding/Tutorials[/del] Removed
This page (http://wiki.garrysmod.com/page/boolean) should be moved to Category:boolean as all the other Lua types (string, number) are in the same format. I cannot move pages to categories myself.
Will update this post if I come across anything else.
[editline]1st June 2013[/editline]
Another pointless page:
http://wiki.garrysmod.com/index.php?title=Tutorials&action=edit
Put a {{Deletion|Broken Redirect}} on them to flag them, garry will then remove them when he can.
For the boolean, create a new page and redirect the old one.
Cheers, will do.
I made Template:Deletion link pages to Category:Pages To Delete like Template:Delete so all the pages I've, and others, have marked using Template:Deletion can be seen here like Template:Delete has done so in the past.
I can't read cursive fonts. :'(
I can't read cursive fonts. :'(
I don't see any cursive fonts on the wiki...
Okay, I finished all the weapons hooks.
There are some PANEL hooks that are only available on HTML panel, but are in global panel hooks category:
PANEL/FinishedURL
PANEL/OpeningURL
PANEL/StatusChanged
PANEL/ResourceLoaded
PANEL/PageTitleChanged
They should be removed.
Yo robo, add me to skype garrynewman82
Yo robo, add me to skype garrynewman82
What happened to the other garrynewman's?
Yo robo, add me to skype garrynewman82
Done.
We also should figure out what to do with this madness: http://wiki.garrysmod.com/page/VGUI/Elements
Fuck yes.
Fuck yes what?
I'd add you on skype too, but you probably got spammed with invites already.
I added a couple (the rest) of Global/* functions. The ones that are left are functions I couldn't correctly document or functions that probably don't need to be documented (some that I documented probably weren't required anyway)
* Global/ClientsideRagdoll - Didn't seem to work correctly, returns a C_ClientRagdoll that never renders
* Global/DOFModeHack - Supposedly not required as it is just used by the other DOF functions
* Global/EmitSentence - Unsure of arguments
* Global/NamedColor - Appears to take a string but returns no value no matter what the input is
* Global/newproxy - Unsure of arguments
* Global/PrecacheScene/Setence* - Unsure
* Global/ProtectedCall - Sometimes calls first argument sometimes first, unsure of arguments
* Global/TextEntryLoseFocus - Supposedly not required
My fingers ache

I've also documented the missing derma library functions, the remaining pages are either tables (derma.Controls, derma.SkinList) or are functions that appear to not be used or work (derma.SkinTexture, derma.Color)
With a HUGE help from Willox all GAMEMODE hooks have been documented.

The old wiki at maurits.tv has a lot of articles, i wonder if there would be a way to compare it with the new wiki and copy all of the articles which are on maurits.tv but not on the new wiki

A lot of the information on the old wiki is outdated. Otherwise surely we would still be using the old wiki or at least its content.

Old content on a hook > no content on a hook.
Old content on a hook > no content on a hook.
This would end in confusion. The wiki is supposed to be a reliable resource

WARNING THIS IS AN OLD CONTENT PAGE - THIS IS PROVIDED AS A MERE REFERENCE UNTIL IT HAS BEEN RECREATED FOR THE GM13(CURRENT) WIKI
Or whatever, a lot of functions and hooks remain the same to use. Having to check 3-4 wiki sites to find the correct use isn't ideal.

Whenever you find yourself doing that why don't you just update the official wiki with the correct information? That way nobody else will have to do what you just did and complain about it later.
Yeah I'd rather have a small amount of valuable information than a mass of useless information.
Is it possible to select another layout/skin for the wiki?
