Otherwise the polygon weights will get screwed up. I need to import each animation on its own and export it as an SMD and compile it with Crowbar. As for the textures, it uses the same UV map as WoW, so it's as simple as converting it to a VTF. If the animation issue when importing certain FBX models into Max is fixed, then I'll probably make a guide for this. As it is though, it's rather easy to do, just time-consuming. The main complication besides the animation issue is that the WoW Model Viewer generally doesn't respect transparency when exporting; a model with a sprite-based glow would export with this obnoxious black 2D square. You can get rid of this with vertex editing, but that decouples the skeleton from the model and I have yet to figure out how to reattach it. I've reported it to the developer, so hopefully it'll get fixed. All in all, if these two issues are fixed, most of WoW's models with animation would be able to be converted rather seamlessly, and I look forward to that. As I said before, there's a ton of potential with such a large game.

Also made it add a category in the spawn menu that pops up when you first download a addon, allowing you to easily spawn w/e you downloaded

I did a bunch of things over the last couple days, one was to replace the current crosshair which was reading the entire frame buffer every 60 frames to get the colors at where you were looking at. Performance wise this sucked and I didn't like the delay. So Tobba actually pointed out blending and it works pretty well. While replacing the crosshair code I also figured I add a bunch of options so everyone can customize it to his own flavor. I figured that GMA has a higher priority on the filesystem so I just repackage all the required episodic content on the fly into the GMA on the client/server and mount it, no need to deliever any models/textures/effects whatsoever anymore.

At least, that's my take on it.
Just because you make it for gmod doesn't mean it's gmod specific. Since it's a Source map and there's a dedicated forum for it, you should post there instead of what is predominantly a coding thread.

The thread may be in Developer Discussion but I've always seen a general attitude of tolerance to any Garry's Mod-related work. Nook or Shendow would be able to give a better answer since it's their jurisdiction.
I think it should be fine as long as it doesn't turn into spam or doesn't appeal to Garry's Mod players. Working on a TTT map? Cool. Posting about a map that doesn't have to do with a gamemode with constant improvements that only a mappers would really notice? Not okay, I don't think.
