Actually, on the contrary, I didn't break any rule ever on that server, i was banned because i had a speech impediment so people automatically thought "Hey, lets be dicks and make fun of those person and make them feel bad that they have something they can't control" And i got banned by jetboom because i sent in some criticism on it, and he didn't think it was important because he runs a server full of dicks who think as said "Its ok to make fun of people who are different." And banned me.
Slobbering over the mic didn't get you banned.

While it's sad to see it go lets not forget the massive drama that the server owner caused.
There's been mountains of drama surrounding NoX for years. But at the end of the day, the good times I've gotten out of JetBoom's gamemodes outweighed the bad by far.
God I love reading the stuff JetBoom does, it always makes me laugh

ZS was the first piece of content I saw that made me buy Garry's Mod, such great memories on that gamemode. Thank's again for all your hard work JetBoom!
You mean the only solution to getting europeans to actually see your server on the server list? It was back when valve made some shitty optimizations that made you return servers only based on your geoip location up to 1500 servers. So US people would mostly only see US servers.

oh man, I totally forgot about the geo restriction shit that raped every European server I played. I guess they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time, since the redirect drama with SUP was a big deal at the time, and got their stuff blacklisted too.
Digging up NoX's past in spirit of its closing is fine as long as it stays civil. Please do not turn their legacy into a drama thread.
I only played on their zs server for 6 months in 2017 before i was banned but it was defiantly the best server of that game-mode, custom stuff wise and in its population, at any give time 80 percent of it was regulars.
i think no other zs server "gets it" with their stuff.
i played zs since december 2012 (got gmod on Christmas sale and tried zs shortly after) but didn't try other noxiousnet gamemodes all that much

Still one of the best ZS gamemodes by far, it's a shame it's gone.
noxiousnet version of it was the best but the gamemode itself is still alive
also i dont know how many vanilla zs servers are left since i last played on them but that version is not so diffrent than the 2012 ones
I still miss Tricky's Tutorials. I played a lot on their servers, saw the greats of GM10 in person countless times.
4 to 5 years being active member on part of 3 years as admin, forever a longtime history, and finally its time to let the beast rest forever.
A bit interesting how it died though. But I'll give it my gratitude as one of the unique gmod servers rather than parade an already beaten dead horse.

Extreme Football Throwdown and Zombie Survival were so much fun, never really bothered playing any of the other NoxNet gamemodes. I don't give a shit about his personal views, I've always had a lot of respect for JetBoom as a developer.
I'd break down in tears of joy playing Extreme Football Throwdown and then ragequitting because they threw me in the ballpit.
Good riddance. I wont miss them plastering everyones IPs in their public logs a few years back.

They used to host public logs that contained IPs DURING the period where being DDoSed in gmod by sethhack users w/ devnull was extremely common, you can see how this could have been troubling.
