https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/112192/62c8c159-2576-4ad0-a119-da9c7ba673a6/reflex xit art.jpg another lightbounce reflection test plus lightbounce used as main lightsource(blue yellow and pink lights) the results are unsatisfactory. since my layers take this amount of time to render and the thing runs at 8fps https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/112192/94433894-7b55-4c79-9bf9-2fa624be150e/20180704195615_1.jpg i'm losing my motivation to keep doing scenebuilds, https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/112192/b52c4537-9297-4b7e-8061-d76b977e051a/poster-18-07-04 19-24-00.png here is the layer i din't know how to proper blend it without look weird, i used an cut out layer of course to crop the car and the windows of the building

thats a gorgeous pass, I dont see whats unsatisfactory - it's the best gmod will ever be able to do. otherwise we might as well move to another program you can hugely decrease your render times by going for a r_flashlightdepthres value of 1024 instead of something higher for these sort of passes
i did it, the lightbounce only works with r_flashlightdepthres 1024 otherwise it ask you to change to 1024
Had absolutely something else on my mind with this but I am gonna try later today. So at least have this lazy ass shit. http://www.wduwant.com/index_uploads/uploads/e15a9d545052.jpg

Why is it that large
Not that much threadworthy but not bad at all https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/132587/76abc2ac-14e8-4a6e-bc36-4d5d2c2b4bdc/FriendlyFire_thunderbolt_2.jpg Life is movement (for this guy - literally)
That's really well made
the smoke trails of the tracers should not end at the gun barrels. as the plane is moving forward, it is also diving through the trails left by its shots and so the trails should be longer and the wings should be going through them.

What are those tree props? Oh and the scene feels too small, or looks like it rather, it doesn't look like there's much going on behind the plane, it just looks like the world ends shortly behind everything
i want my pc to cook itself so i can have an excuse to get a better pc from my parents
epic xd
dang i lov the dark feeling of this second one, looks like its from an sci fi horror movie
Was bored so I made an architectural dupe and tried out the pines models and stacker spammed a bunch to create a forest. http://www.wduwant.com/index_uploads/uploads/0bc3c2a68ca5.jpg
These are awesome man. I'm really enjoying seeing your art evolve, your scenebuilding is on point and you've really picked up your lighting game since your first posts
Thanks! I really appreciate it!

47th Sector Rim https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/183687/875f3ec7-40b7-451f-961a-c957939c35a4/a_47thSectorRim_seiren.jpg This was a test of smoke effects, that's why this scene is absolutely filled with smoke, I just wanted to test what it would look like for each scenario where smoke could be, near the ground as small plumes or so, giant plumes rising in the sky.

Remember you can always rely on photoshop for volumetric effects such as atmosphere, smoke, fire, etc, it'll give you much more freedom, especially if you mask those effects with a depth pass
Yeah, this was just a test of those smoke effects seen ingame, I wanted to see what they would look like as a final result.
http://www.wduwant.com/index_uploads/uploads/a1f6c5d6a6ec.jpg I am not sure what the colors really look like, because my monitor's colors have gone a bit weird and I can't seem to be able to get any pure black on it.
Goofy is one scary guy.
