I think Rhine as a map choice will be pretty fun as there's a good amount of turns and straights. I've put together a small course with the help of Chris.

You start at the bottom of the map on the image under the bridge and go around clock-wise (opposite the arrows on the drawn map (I know it's confusing)).

A half of me is currently shitting themselves on making a bloody mapping decision, the other half is shitting themselves over whether this would be finished before the event comes.

Just tested this course layout, and it its quite pleasant to drive (apart from performance: racing in 16 fps does not feel good), some square turnes and other tricky bits offer a nice challenge and test car's maneuverability. Although I think that gm_boreas would be a better contender.

Now onto my vehicle...
It's a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee that has been modified into a buggy so i'm gonna call it the 'Chuggy'
The Chuggy may look like a rock climber, and it is, but it's dynamic solid axle suspension allows it to be a street legal car as well, and a surprisingly responsive one at that. It's 4x4 wheelbase is a 5 speed manual that is equipped with an ACF powered petrol 5.7L V8 that generates 281 HP @ about 5000 RPM (provided it has fuel, else it's 225HP). As of writing, it is about 1,200 kilograms and is roughly 231HP/T, but that may change as I think I'd like for it to weigh a tad bit more to provide more grip for its' off-roading adventures.

Here's my go, I converted the pubbie truck I released into a rally monster. A first ever for me, a prop engine vehicle with a 5 speed transmission. Sadly I can't get it to a realistic dakar truck weight without the gearbox crying bloody murder, so it's about 3300kg.

Motor is of a design I shat out, it uses non-rigid ropes and two crankshafts for completely unbreakable thruster pistons. a 460kg motor. I call it a "tugjob". Much thanks to ALMS for the idea of using spheres & setang for a gearbox.
