I'm curious if a map exists which is maxed out in size and everything is extremely dense with buildings, in the context of a city/urban slums.
The draw distance would most likely be about 20-30 meters since you shouldn't see anything past 20 meters due to the sheer density of the buildings.
I'm wondering if a map like this exists.
I was looking for something more outdoors. Not really buildings you can go inside. Just a huge map with buildings. tons and tons of buildings.
There's always gm_bigcity. And if that's not big enough, there's gm_bigcity 4T
Buildings are way too big. I need something really dense. The idea is to make it seem like it's a huge map.
I am a bit confused about what you want exactly. Do you want a lot of smaller building clumped together, like narrow alleyways and stuff?
Pretty much. I don't care for the interior, in fact it doesn't even have to exist. But I want it so that for a regular person, the map seems huge, even though it's just the max size limit and it's just very dense.
gm_goldencity is a bit like that, but I was hoping for a map that's even more clumped up and dense.
Out of curiosity question, what are you exactly trying to pull of with such specific map?
I'm making a conquest gamemode. So while most maps are small-medium with a bunch of interior design and such or big with a ton of open space, I need really big maps with a bunch of exterior design that is very dense. Maybe 1 or 2 main roads. But the idea of the map is to make it so that it is hard for players to get into engagements, as most maps are too small so players find each other too quickly, or maps are too open and players can just see them from halfway across the map. Hence the really big, and really dense.
I think it may be hard to find a map that suits your needs since most big maps are made for rp and thus need to be more open and easy to navigate. I would take a look at some of the hl2 roleplay/combine roleplay maps, I seem to remember playing a few that looks like what you describe.
