Fuck you did a great job. I am downloading @ 1MB/s in Australia with cable internet :D
I uploaded a model yesterday and now it has been removed.
The site has gotten worse than it was before the slow down. Files are disappearing, functions don't work, and Thumbnails are broken. I think the site needs to be taken offline to be reworked.
Definitely faster.
Before i had 100 kb/s. Now it like 5-7 :(
I just downloaded something, didn't even see the download bar. Thank you Garry.
Yes garry, its awesome, my friend Black-ice/Kickin balls told me about a PM to you, complaining about gmod.org. Anyways, thanks man.
I lost files and i have no copy, what did you do with garrysmod.org? :(
same here :'( i lost 6 files out of 7 lol view content is saying somthing now :D at least but its not alot :( it only says : zip file content not found :( but atleast i can surf on the site mutch faster and download 5x faster in europe
Some downloads just break like when i click download.... page can not be displayed then next day file not found :(
All in all it's better for me, but WHY are the files being deleted?
All in all it's better for me, but WHY are the files being deleted?
It's supposed to be deleting old files, but I think it's fucked up.
gmod.org uses Amazon S3 now. Are the download speeds any better?
yep
Some of my files were removed!? So what? You don't own garrysmod.org so what are you going to do about it? My guess is that files that didn't have any resent downloads were deleted. I'm only having one problem and that is uploading new files. Hope the problem will be solved soon.
But Sakarias, I had uploaded a file 2 days ago, people had downloaded it, and then it got removed. And it was my personal skin. I did 95% of the work. Shotgunguy49 just hexed it and fixed up some texture errors.

I hope you still have a backup on your computer because I don't think there is much you can do about the removed file. You can always upload it again.

It is much slower for me. Before I was getting 150KB/s now I am geting 25KB/s.
I'm getting around 350KB/s to 450KB/s
i'm getting 10kb/s... It stills on coblitz codeen....... kind shit.
its about 10 times laggier now, THANKS GARRY
Garry, i thank you for ruining my downloads all of my files are gone,no backups because my computer was wiped. Thanks Garry!
Wasn't really slow to begin with for me. Now is even faster than before. However, the Forum itself is extremely slow.
coblitz codeen...
C'mon garry... you may have made the speeds faster, but all of my files have disappeared along with thousands of others... I uploaded my first map on there.. And I no longer have it.. So all of that work for nothing?
Download counters on the embedded images, e.g. Don't match up with the actual counts if you head on over (click on it) to Garrysmod.org. Just to clarify (and I have done full refreshes of my browser cache etc), this reads 2188 downloads for me at the time of writing and the actual number of downloads is 7580. Cheers.
Much better, they actually work every time now, instead of loading for a long time then getting a 404.
I wanted to download some phys maps, tools (like buoyancy) , and some other stuff that all got erased on my gmod when i had to reset it. I go back on garrysmod.org and it turns out most of it is gone
10.0 kb/sec D=
Definitely better.
