Sorry, took it down while I worked on it. Up again now.
Garry you are awesome !
......Faster !
It is harder, better, faster, stronger.
Downloads are faster, but actually GETTING to the download itself is extremely slow, as well as there being some errors when downloading files.
Navigating through the site takes a very long time as well. I'm not sure if this is a chronic problem, but I think that's where you should start first in diagnosing and fixing.
I also have the same problem. I personally liked the site before the changes. Now I can hardly download anything I want to download. I'm stuck with bookmarking the page and coming back every so-often hoping it works, but it doesn't.
1.32 / Mbs on DownThemAll! On Firefox.
Let's have hot sex, Garry.
I don't know how fast I would be downloading because it's taking foreeeeeeever to load the damn website. And I really mean foreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever, it was about 5-10 seconds a few days ago now it's 3+ minutes.
Edit:
Sorry, it's more like 20 minutes :argh:
yea it just died again.
I can't even go to the site. I've tried reloading countless times since yesterday and it just times me out. Maybe Amazon isn't as great for the heavy usage that Garrysmod.org is used to seeing?
Still won't load. F'ing hell. :kratos:
Zero amount of load happening. Is the site down?
funny? i can't get back on to the site it's saying 404 error crap again lol
yea, it wont establish a connection at all and my downstream should be 12 mbps.
It keeps giving me a 408/409 error every time I try to visit the site.
i get a 200
gmod.org uses Amazon S3 now. Are the download speeds any better?
I can't load it.
This always comes up:
The website is too busy to show the webpage
HTTP 408/HTTP 409
What you can try:
Refresh the page.
Go back to the previous page.
More information
This error (HTTP 408 Request Timeout or HTTP 409 Conflict) means that the server took too long to display the page or there were too many people requesting the same webpage.
For more information about HTTP errors, see Help.
And I do refresh the page but it doesn't work :(
Seems to actually work now.
I can't get it to work. I've waited for 5 minutes and nada, zilch.
I can't tell much of a difference, except that the speeds vary more. Sometimes it is extremely fast and sometimes extremely slow. (Probably my crap router)
Ok now the site is loading, and loading very nicely might I add.
But now whenever I click some picutres / try to download some stuff, this happens:

The download speeds are great, but everything else is terrible, half the time I cant get onto the site, the mirroring process annoyed the fuck out of me because I couldn't downlaod anything, and today I kept getting the fucking 408/409 error.
Ya, site is down again apparently.
Haven't downloaded anything from it, for obvious reasons. Hopefully they fix the whole "site is broken" issue...
And it's down for the fifth time today I believe.
When will it make up it's mind?
I have been trying to get onto the site for an hour now. It says it is waiting for the site. I get no error page. I also get nothing in firefox's error console.
Same for me. It just says it's waiting forever...
gmod.org uses Amazon S3 now. Are the download speeds any better?
hell no i cant even load the site anymore!
failmazon Shit3
I might be a little paranoid (who isnt at least a little paranoid?) but maybe some hackers set up a bot to spam the server with connection requests.
Either the site is down, or its just taking 30+ minutes to load.
200 Request Time-out
I've been getting this all day.
Using Chrome, and I have a 6 mb/s dl speed.
Site decides to stop working when I really feel like downloading stuff for screenshot purposes.
