Did you know that the more an object approaches the speed of light, the more massive it gets? And at the speed of light, we agree that an object would have infinite mass. If something with infinite mass hit a wall or something, wouldn't it release infinite energy? But wouldn't it take infinite energy to push the object to the speed of light? So what we must do is cram all of existence into a grain of sand and force it into a wall... an Viola! Infinite energy!
Oh god, I seriously hope they NEVER make the physgun in real life. Think about it. The face of modern warfare would be scarred forever. If you think one person on a server prop deathmatching is bad, imagine the armies of an ENTIRE NATION all prop deathmatching the armies of ANOTHER nation. So many people would get banned reality would crash. Plus, if it does get developed within my lifetime, I intend to buy one, and freeze a pair of coke cans in every doorway in the nearest city. Then laugh at them all.
Well if a Gravity Gun was put together, I bet it would take alot of energy in order for it to work.
Well, you could use your futuristic wireless extension cord. :v: I guess you could really use a... spaceship... battery... car.
But you wouldn't have to get up to get the remote then.
what if you didn't have the phys gun next to you then you would have to get up to get the phys gun to then get the remote :)
It would just be good just to see this man running down the street screaming like a headless chicken being chased by a man in a white lab coat attacking him with a dumpster.
Do you really think that you could have a gravity gun or phyisics gun in real life? How about a tool gun? I could see a weld gun manipulating atoms to weld to props touching each other. And please do not say i am stupid for asking, I just thought about it in the car.
faaar away in the future... Tool gun that can weld - possible, there are already laser welding machines. Gravity gun - Possible Physics gun - Not possible. It breaks many basic physic laws. "Every action has an equal and opposite reaction."
I always wondered how you would be able to lift the gun if it is carrying something. Edit:
For a weld gun, there's a process called Cold Welding. It's when you put 2 metallic objects in a non-atmospheric area e.g. space or an airlock or something, then remove the oxygen layer, then by magic when you touch the 2 items together they lock and won't come apart.
That is crazy, it is real. I did a search and found it to be true. I would really like to see a video of this happening.
tool gun- very impossable for all tools exept rope, nail, weld, elastics, nad one other i forgot. the ropes are posable because you could shoot the end of the rope (with a nail in it) and the the other end) gravity gun-for shooting things maybe but you would have to be able to pick up the thing you are holding with the gun in the first place plus you probably wouldn't be able to have it hover right in front of your gun phys gun- imposable on all aspects
There's the nail gun!
igniter tool win http://www.3dactionplanet.com/redfaction/dp/images/art/rf/weapons/flamethrower.jpg
They can make a rope tool easily. You shoot the first part whree you want the rope and then you shoot at the other part you want the rope. But then if the rope isn't long enough. :v:
A Gravity Gun would probably be possible, I doubt a Physics Gun would be though and definitely not a Tool Gun.
True, grav gun isn't that unrelistic of a concept, the only thing its doing is generating a gravitational pull at one point. now the hard this is to get it to focus at what you're aming at, if it was right here right now it'd be like a bomb, attracting everything around it. much like McyD's and fat people. (no offense to anyone)
lol :)
I try, lol

<< you're evil.
Gravity gun would be possible. Well, all gravity manipulators we have today are mass...
So basically we want a controlled high mass particle. Maybe part of a neutron star?
some thing like that, but gravity its self isn't really the problem, it's manipulating it
gravity gun is a big magnet... no? phisics gun.... hmmm i don't know
Stupid to ask. :D
Всем привет!!!
As for the welding Tool Gun, just take a miniaturised plasma torch. I've put some ideas from the inner working of the Gravity Gun to the Combine Overwiki. Not sure if it's still there, though... My thought is that the GravGun contains a micro black hole. Pushing is a gravity wave, pulling is a graviton tractor beam. Before anyone starts yapping about 'how can someone create a black hole and maintain it without infinite energy': the Combine did harness dark energy and facilitate inter-dimensional teleportation which is currently considered impossible. So 'impossible' in Half-Life is synonimous with 'hard, but feasible'.
Всем привет!!!
The hell? Speak english moron
The hell? Speak english moron
He decides whether if he speaks in English or in Russian.
No gravity gun can't be done, since a human won't be able to hold it if it lifts something heavy.
Matter that's inside the gun's field is massless.
Of the four fundamental forces of nature, gravity is the one we understand the least. So it'll be quite a while before a true gravity/physics gun is invented. Shouldn't be terribly difficult to mimic with magnetism, though you'd be limited to magnetically active objects.
Matter that's inside the gun's field is massless.
I see. Well, if anyone ever figures out how to do that, not only will we have gravity guns but we'll also be able to travel at the speed of light at no energy cost!
Who needs a Phys Gun when you could have a Portal Gun!
Who needs a Phys Gun when you could have a Portal Gun!
Pathetic... There are lots of features in the physgun that portal gun doesn't have. you can't compare those two, they're completely different
If someone invents a physics gun in real life, it just shows how lazy the world is getting...
But it would make a lot of jobs easier and faster making time for more important things.
