Physics gun is damn heavy. :rolleye: At least compared to the remote.
How do you know? you got one? :v:
You could always combine a physics gun and a portal gun (if they were ever made).
You can pick up a tank and freeze It in midair upsidedown. That would be fucking cool.
Gravity gun=strong vacuum:v:
Didn't we just fire up the giant Hadron collider?
What the fuck does that have to do with anything!?
It would be more fun if only YOU could have them.
Did you know that the more an object approaches the speed of light, the more massive it gets? And at the speed of light, we agree that an object would have infinite mass. If something with infinite mass hit a wall or something, wouldn't it release infinite energy? But wouldn't it take infinite energy to push the object to the speed of light? So what we must do is cram all of existence into a grain of sand and force it into a wall... an Viola! Infinite energy!
If an object was moving with infinte energy, it would have HUGE amounts of kinetic energy, right? So this " Wall" would have to be massivly reinforced. It would have to be built into a mountain made of pure steel. Even so, it would make a emourmous indent. But still, even if it did work, how are we supposed to harvest all the random energy flying a million places at once?
Weld tool = blow torch igniter = flamethrower button tool = button :P We already have some gmod stuff
Well, gravity gun could be like a Vacuum cleaner where it uses big power to attract objects and blows them away or just turns off, the Weld gun could work like Static Electricity in a false way were it creates it outta thin air, though it could make atoms to move closely and probaly to weld themselves together because atoms is said to be able to create very much heat as if the neutrons around it would hit the atoms core they would create enough friction to weld anything in the world so they could catch up a object and then become so hot that the atoms would weld together and keep the props together if you know what i mean? EDIT: Might be able to make a Physgun if we could find a way to make atoms and particles target on one thing for then to lift it up as you would like it
pcMod=what im using right now
ok, lets say we invented the phys gun, what happens if we picks something up and/or freeze it?
i dont know about how you would make a beam or feild that renders somthing outside of gravity, but a posable power source could be anti-matter, assuming its larger than an atom, it could power it for all time. however, a ball of anti-matter, the size of a baseball can destroy mass of land the size of new hampshire.
Well, there is such thing as the leafblower. So I guess part of JBmod/Gmod exists in real life.
Want a Physics Gun? Buy a Grappling Hook, I guess.
lols! "damn i need to pick up the remote *SWOOSH* *CLANG* a shit! now its broken -.-"
The Gravity Gun is most likely a small Black-Hole'ish type thing. That's why whenever you pick up a Combine with the Upgraded one they are instantly killed.
I was under the impression that it manipulated the zero-point energy of objects.
You say that the grav gun is a small black hole stabilizer, right? It would take an MASSIVE amount of energy to create a black hole and INFINITE energy to stabilize it. If scientists DO find a way to control infinite energy, anything would be possible: Time shifting, portals, gravity guns, gravity manipulation. But first: scientists need to find a way to maintain infinite energy.
simple use another black hole to generate it lol
ITT people don't know physics.
the phys guns is a modified grav gun, so its possabiale
So you're telling me you have a gravity gun and if I wanted, I could modify it right now and right here into a physics gun? I doubt it...
@Barron: The phys gun isn't a modified gravity gun. Garry (or someone) invented the Physics gun and just happened to use the overcharged Gravity gun model for it. Might as well have used an AR2 model or an RPG model! Well, at least I think that's how it happened. We don't see a phys gun in any HL2 games do we?
I was under the impression that it manipulated the zero-point energy of objects.
ZPMS here we come! Now all we need is an Atlantis :D
ZPMS here we come! Now all we need is an Atlantis :D
Well, they say that there are infinite parallel universes with infinite conditions. So, Atlantis IS real, just not in this reality.
I want a Q menu in real life... Realy, if you need the remote, you can just spawn a new one And you can spawn people using the "NPC" tab to! If only...

It would take infinite energy to push something with infinite mass, anyway.
As for the welding Tool Gun, just take a miniaturised plasma torch. I've put some ideas from the inner working of the Gravity Gun to the Combine Overwiki. Not sure if it's still there, though... My thought is that the GravGun contains a micro black hole. Pushing is a gravity wave, pulling is a graviton tractor beam. Before anyone starts yapping about 'how can someone create a black hole and maintain it without infinite energy': the Combine did harness dark energy and facilitate inter-dimensional teleportation which is currently considered impossible. So 'impossible' in Half-Life is synonimous with 'hard, but feasible'.
You have to belief that the impossible in mearly preposterous!

The Gravity Gun is not possible unless someone can open a portal to Xen.
ITT: Really dumb ideas and physics theories.
I have made two weld guns, one small, but it takes one heck of a long time to weld, and one big, but it uses an extension cord :P gravity gun could be an electromagnet :P
What if... The gravity gun has 3 SUPER strong vacuums to hold the object in place?
