You are one of these people who seems to think the issue is darkrp itself. People want cheap guns they want deathmatch and if they didn't they either wouldn't play it or use it. There are many features in it to prevent the apparent "problems" people claim servers that use it have.
And at what point do you think gmod's strengths aren't being used. Many young kids with credit cards, darkrp is being used and is benefitting from all gmod's strengths.
Many rp mods have been made but most have just died because people don't want them.

I was thinking changing RP. Vehicles should be immortalized and no weapons. It would stop the random assholes try to find a way to get entertained by killing everybody, but it would easily get unpopular at a fast rate, then nobody will play or make servers with it.
Or just do what is happening when the update is out, Garry will probably not give a beta key to DarkRP developers and the gamemode will break fatally. Then people will make the "wai rp not workin?" or "fix rp pls"-threads, but these will only exist for a few weeks. Some developers will try to fix it, but at such a slow rate, the development threads will soon be almost dead. In the end it will be fixed. I don't know how long time it will take, but it depends on how much of the gamemode that gets broken.

Not even just a currency system. Just sandbox with limitations, so you can't do absolutely anything, and you have to work within the limitations to create things. You'd make a fort, you'd put shit in it, make security measures, make a vehicle, etc. Not something that's designed so a bunch of complete strangers will use it so it has to have all these rules so they'll "play fair". Something that's basically enhances the sandbox mode so you can play "pretend".
I guess what I'm looking for isn't an RP script, it's something that makes rule-less RPing more fun for people who are just playing with their friends.

Remove the ability to use the motor, axis, and any vehicle besides the Airboat Seat and then we'll talk (but that'd still be fairly easy)

New challenge:
Make a car. You can only spawn one airboat seat to start with, and after that you can't use ANYTHING from any of the spawn menus, other than the model models/hunter/plates/plate.mdl. No props, sents, NPCs, weapons, or other vehicles (and no using the Manhack Gun). With the exception of Easy Precision, SmartSnap, Stacker and the Weight Tool, you can only use things that came with garry's mod by default. No using console commands either. You can't use or duplicate world props, or other people's props.
Tools you can't use:
Motor
Axis
Wheel
Thruster
Hoverballs
Lamps
Light
Dynamite
Buttons
Balloons
Ball Socket (or variations)
You can use the weld tool.
You must be able to control the car using 4 numpad keys: 7 and 9 to make the left wheel or wheels go forward and back, and 4 and 6 to make the right wheel or wheels go forward and back.

Too bad it will break all your spawn menus except from the ones included in gmod. It is going to be a bitch to fix them, each time I download a new model pack I make my own spawn menu if there isn't any.

Thats why Garry is doing an unside beta for the best modders to come up with a fix before release
but on the other hand we will have to reinstall all addons which will take some time for people
I hope the PHX spawnmenu is broken.

The beta is for gamemode makers and other coders to fix their own mods before the update. (these will most likely not include darkRP) There is no way to prevent the spawnmenus from breaking unless Garry does not change it.

Why do you see this as a problem?
Garry, just in case you are ignoring PMs (which I would understand), Garry's Mod needs some sort of Hide Prop tool, which would make anything that would use a linedraw (tool guns, the physgun, bullets, lasers, etc.) go through it. This would allow you to access props that are obscured by, or inside, other props, that being its most useful purpose. It would also have other uses for construction, such as a wall that bullets can pass through. Anything that had this applied to it would keep all its constraints and other properties, and would have the option to make it transparent (which would be undone when the prop is "shown" again). You could re-show the object by undoing the "hide" or by selecting it from a list of hidden objects; you should also be able to undo it by right clicking a hidden object with the Hide tool. To my knowledge this is all impossible with lua, as it involves changing the way linedraws work with objects.
With this should probably be an extra lua funtion for line-draws, that allows it to hit hidden props as well as normal ones. There should also be an option for the remove tool to remove hidden props.

Already long done. It's called the Ignore STool.
"Line draw"? Do you mean tracers or wireframe?
For walls that only bullets can pass through you can use chainlink fences and some creativity.

It is actually just a coincidence that Minecraft, Garry's Mod and Terraria all have a mayor/highly anticipated update being developed right now. The only one that actually have a release date is Minecraft's, but your brain may have connected them together.
Keep in mind that Garry is not trying to copy Notchor anything.

Compression would increase load times, all game data in RAM needs to be decompressed, so during loading, the CPU would have to decompress every file, and then load the full size think into the RAM anyway.
