that's an average of all maps, it's not like garry is loading up evocityv33x every time
and Garry has a faster computer than a bunch of people who play Gmod.
My load time is about 4 to 5 minutes. I go play minecraft whilst I wait. Gmod is the only game that takes longer than 15 seconds to load games for me.

There are less users of v130, so the data is going to be a bit skewed, unless Garry decided to revert all the way back to 102 himself and test it :v:

well part of the problem is that you're playing minecraft which uses java which rapes memory which isn't too light on CPU either

Java itself isn't too bad, the fact it's a Virtual machine that is trying to interpret Java Bytecode does require a bit of CPU grunt, but the major problem with Minecraft is that, it's Minecraft, the game isn't coded perfectly and as such uses more resources than it really should (even GMod, struggles to use 1GB+ of RAM when I'm on the bloody menu, thanks Notch).

well gmod is a 32 bit program and from what I remember, 32 bit programs become extremely unstable and/or crash when they use around 1.5 GB of RAM

It has taken 4 to 5 minutes all of my life even with no addons and with a new computer (yes an epic one) I started playing mc a few months ago because I would rather wait a few seconds more and play mc than sit there looking at a frozen screen. It doesn't even have to be mc that was just an example I brows here and other places or go watch tv.
I don't get it, I have a relatively outdated PC and can load Garrysmod fine on most maps with PlayOnLinux on Natty

Perhaps when that say they have a "Awesome Computer" they don't really have a "Awesome Computer" or they have not removed the BloatWare on their "Awesome Computer" assuming its not a custom build.

That's really a good idea, some way to change where you "teleport" relative to vehicle when you get out of it. So it could work with whatever you decide to build.

That would get you stuck a lot of the time. A better solution would be to place you in the nearest location that won't get you stuck.

My computer was new this year and it is just better than a standard alien ware and is not custom build. I have no idea why my load times are slow and doubt I ever will. It may have something to do with internet connect but everything else is fine. I am a gmod player since 2007 and nothing has changed since.

I completely agree with the fact that alien ware are overpriced and not always the best option I was using it as an example. Either way there is nothing wrong with alien ware.

Except everything. Their designs are atrocious, they overcharge for last gen/ sub-par components. The cases are about 80% plastic, 10% metal and 40% ricer LED shit (yeah. they broke maths).
Plus their fanbase is dumb enough to liquidize your brain from a 5 foot radius.

I'm hardly "shout your hate and abuse about it" as you seem to think. But there is not a single redeeming factor to their computers. There are other companies who do the same thing for less.
Oh and overcharging does have an impact, it's called Price/ Performance, you know, the building blocks of not being a imbecile with your money?
