I'm mainly using Garry's Mod for posing purposes, so there's only a couple of things which could be fixed or improved:
- Super DoF: Only problem with it is that it messes up the textures of water. So, is it possible to fix this, Garry? Other than that, this tool is excellent.
- Inflator: Not so important tool for me, but in some cases I'd need more precise values to set for the parts of the ragdoll (for example, like those sliders in many tools).
- Prop Resizer: Could be a permanent tool for GMod.
EDIT: Oh, in generally; your upcoming update sounds interesting. Escpecially changes in the menus are more than welcome things for me, Garry. ;)

Prop resizer is horrible for any building but the majority of people don't use gmod for just posing, therefore id rather garry work on something else its not hard to download an addon.

You're right, but I was just throwing some ideas into the air. But as I said, only those thing could be improved for posers. Anyway, the current version of GMod serves me as good as it serves other people with their different kind of purposes with it.
But still, I'm open-minded for any kind of updates for GMod.
Hopefully laggy movement on props in multiplayer will be fixed.
That's like my #1 wanted fix besides welds that actually merge physics meshes.
That you can actually walk on the ropes ;3
That you can actually walk on the ropes ;3
No, that ropes have collision with all entities.
That you can actually walk on the ropes ;3
This is actually doable, just hard. Create a bunch of tiny, narrow props, weld to each other, nocollide with each other, rope along the whole thing, color invisible.

An official version that isn't as hacky as those out there would be very nice for huge spacebuild ships and airplanes.
It's going to be ported to Xbox and include Kinect support.
I'm not joking.
Except Gmod would never work on a console since it requires files from other games that Garry isn't allowed to distribute.
The day GMod is for Xbox will be the day you will learn to be informed of such things.
I don't think any of you realize how fucking terrible gmod would be on consoles
I think their is a tool that would let you do that but yeah I do like the sound of that.
Get special hats for special achievements to wear and that can be seen on any server.
There should be an achievement for asking for a hat.
It gives you a dick for a hat.
Jiggleboned dick.

How about no. GMod isn't TF2, keep that shit out of here.
Personally, I'm hoping he's introducing the .vpk addon format he mentioned some time ago, as well as the Portal 2 content he mentioned a while ago.
If he could make some more GMod tutorials that go on the front page, it'd be awesome too. All this combined with the new menu would be pretty rad..

I did notice that the only tutorials he included are on a basic car and ragdoll posing, would be nice to see some ones on using various tools included vanilla.
I did notice the New menu has the same icon style as the Toybox icons,
Okay, so what does this update do?
We don't know.. that's why we are discussing it.. Only thing we do know is that there is a new menu system involved.
It's a secret to everybody
I just got a garry's mod update, was this it?
I just got a garry's mod update, was this it?
Nope. That was garrysmod updating with TF2, as it always does.

Valve seems to be worrying about TF2 more than anything now, its the only thing that seems to get updates.

It's because they can make more than a handful o' dollars from items.

Well yeah going F2P was the best business decision valve ever made for TF2, I cant blame them for doing it.
Pissed off all the old TF2 players though(me for one). Has more little kids than gmod these days I can't bring myself to play a public server anymore.
I want portal guns. Sadly a update crashed them.
You know Gmod is made out of 100% C++, and garry can't rip out the source for the portal guns [sp]unless he uses a c++ dll decompiler, which I can't find[/sp]

I think coaching actually could have a small bit of potential in Gmod, teaching newer players the basics of tools or how to play a certain gamemode.

I don't think it really worked in TF2, its not a big learning curve. Gmod would probably be the same you can teach someone how to use tools in a sandbox by building alongside or with them and its far better than spectating.

He has the Portal source etc.
If GMod becomes available for consoles, I will buy it just to laugh at how bad it is.
Insanely powerful high-end computers can struggle with GMod. The Xbox and PS3 don't have enough hardware power to run Garry's Mod extensively in my honest opinion.
My Xbox exploded at a couple points trying to play Half Life 2. How do you expect it to handle when there is a fuck ton of props flying around? What about online play?
There's so many wrong things about putting GMod on consoles that I don't even want to go into detail. My biggest annoyance would be Key Binding, downloading mods, and HDD space.
Gmod simply can't run on consoles, for two reasons.
1. Gmod uses Direct3d to render, unless garry wrote an entire OpenGL renderer it wouldn't work on ps3 or wii
2. Gmod uses too much memory, the Xbox only has 512 mb of memory, I have never seen Gmod use less than that.
