Parasite - Garry's Mod - Facepunch Forum

I was working on a new version (in wich you need to wait at the need to accomplish it (your vulnerable)) but i had to format my computer so , for the current version , to make the game appear on your game list put an info.txt file in the gamemode folder , containing this : "Gamemode" { "name" "Parasite" "version" "0.32" "author_name" "ickylevel" "author_email" "" "author_url" "" "icon" "" "info" "" "hide" "1" }

This really needs new maps, so eventually, if a server stays up, you may see one from me.

OK I have a new version to test : CHANGES FROM VERSION 0.32 : By default in the server option , tker are punished by death and their victim ressurected. Humans are freezed for a certain amount of time when accomplishing a need. Decreased spawn damage : 20 -> 15. Decreased robot regeneration amount 10 -> 6. More sound events. I don't know why, but i can't download any Parasite-files from Garrysmod.org. I guess i'll try again tomorrow...

Hmm... To me the ingame Needs/Player Icons are purple and black. (Missing Texture) Though i have done everything correctly.

This gamemode is quite awesome, but it needs more maps. it gets kinda boring playing on the same map all the time.

Whoever tested this version , I need feedback. This is not a release ! I just want to chek if there are no bugs. Yeah , not being able to port forward successfully sucks. Also , I'm making a new map. Because I'm fucking tired of playing on the same one too.

Guys, If you really want to play, i am hosting this server from UK - Not 24/7 - only so that i can play Parasite with other people ;) IP will be up in a minute EDIT: How do i set the default gamemode on server start-up? EDIT 2: IP Address: 86.144.255.156:27015

I just got this idea, you could like make a monitor center for the robot so that he can monitor nearly the whole place and for the ordinary people there should be like rooms that they have their own bed, shower and toilet in and you should get a money system so that they can buy,sell and trade stuff. there could be shops like weapon shop and weapons won't spawn on the ground you have to buy them and then cafeteria/food stores where you can buy food and gadget shop where you can buy alien sensors, mines that makes a loud sound if a alien steps on it, night vision, the name says it all, speed boots, makes you move about 50% faster(this would have to be a swep) and things like that and you could get money by working somehow or killing zombies

If you want to discuss fake games/roleplay scripts, you are in the wrong place.

Fish's parasite server is too bugged with it's server admin script.Change it !

Everyone just spawns as human/zombie no one becomes robot or alien. Nevermind... We just waited the 20 mins and next round it worked.

I like the idea of: The water you drank was poisonous, get antidote. But how about a special attack for the aliens, which make them able to poison water? And if they don´t get their daily need of toxic, they lose health, and they can´t poison water? [b]Edit:[/b] Ok, I just tested this gamemode online, and it is super-creepy! Great job! But can´t you make a "The Thing" map? If you have seen the movie, you know what I´m talking about. Long, dark corridors, snowstorm outside, and maybe that creepy themesong in the background. Just to make it look more like the movie. And if you go outside in the snow, there should be a small point_hurt, so that if you stay out too long, you will freeze to death. But watch the movie first. Because Parasite is so much like the movie. But there is one problem you should fix with the gamemode, and that is the needs. I had to go to the bathroom, I went there, and then I had to go again. After 2 minutes! That´s just wrong... Otherwise, Great Gamemode!

It seems that all the parasite server are offline? Is any one planning on creating one?.

If I could work out why my server won't show up on the server browser, I'd have a server running. I'm also working on a parasite map.
