I have the same problem as him, i got one in my garry's mod account but is not showing in my steam or lets me activate it, i think it has been given to someoneelse too.

I got a key from account.garrysmod then when i was going to use it at steam, steam said this:

In order to make getting keys easier, I decided to make the GMod Beta Key page my homepage.
It won't help much though, as most of the keys seem to be given away when I'm at school or asleep.
