You see powerhouse i ain't picking you apart for no reason, the plot just thickens. If you gave me an answer or even an apology if it was you that did it then i would accept it and leave you alone but you just ignoring me shows you can't face to what im saying and thats just digrading.
Sweet jesus just shut the fuck up. If you don't want to use the program, get out.
GoldMember have you ever played on or as part of ByB Servers ?
Also, you sir, are a moron *_* .
Anyone can see what data it sends out by tracking it with netlimitter, which I will do in a moment and post full screenshots.
-edit
Well, this addon has kinda vanished which means I cannot test it currently and Powerhouse went afk.
Anyway, I tested the G-SVN and it makes NO internet connections apart from SVN requests and all through Tortoise SVN in a visible window.
If you want to test what locations this or any other program sends information to then use http://www.netlimiter.com/ before screaming virus. The fact the only network connections this program will use are through wget, it will be VERY simple to track.
Which btw, may I ask... Why would anyone make a program to steal your steam username when that information is freely available for any program you run.
I completly agree, only the wget try for an internet connection and taht only to get the fiels from teh server for your addons. I greatly appricate your time in helpoing prove the safeness of teh program. <- lol i still try to use that smiley >.< that from my old old old forums
Yea, I would throw some screenshots of net limitter in but yea.
If people give a hoot that much they can use there own firewall programs to track it *_*
You should really post the source code, there are a couple of rules on FP relating to that. If you do not post the source code, do not bother posting the program. Posting the source also gives us a way to compile it for ourselves, to see if the program operates the same as the uploaded executable, which would prove this isn't malicious in any way.
The programmers in the Lua module section have to post their source, I don't see why you should be exempt from this rule.
I Actually coundlt find anny rules for teh forums posted anywhere, could you provide a link to the rules? I would really liek to reead though them please.
I like how people that defend this useful application are flaming the other ones that bash it telling that is malicious. Yet when flaming at the people that thinks this is malicious, they look like retards.

Honestly if one single person had posted something creditable I would look into it...
But so far we got someone saying it's dodgy because it asks for username, even though it's needed to install addons. Then some kid who seems to think power is involved in some scam, which even if true would have nothing todo with the program really.
Also, as far as the program goes Power I would probably make it ask for the full steam directory. Alot of people do not use the standard directory.

The general rules are common sense. No flaming. No trolling. No shitposting. That kind of thing. Each section has it's own rules too, they are usually in the threads highlighted yellow so that they are noticed (these ate also stickies, which will never move from the top of the list).

So ther are no 'offical' rules? just guidelines? alright, then i defend powers right to keep teh source to himself.
I do thing th askign for a full directory woudl eb a good idea, but withotu a memory or teh abbility to paste, typing that in 70 times would get pretty darn unbearable.

you can paste...
right click paste *_*
That is a good point about entering your name every time. Perhaps make it ask to save the name, then ask if you wish to use that profile every time you load it?

I expect to include this in the next release.
What does LS2 and RD2 have in them? Anyone know?

Jesus christ please learn how to type.
Can I just end this by saying "Yes, this works."
At first I was like " L0L VIRU5 HURHURHUR"
Then I tested it.
And I got this message saying "All programs have came to a stop bla bla bla"
So I retried it and it worked, installed the Black Apache SNPC and tested ingame, completely works.
To all the trolls that are trolling this thread, if you dont like what PowerHouse made, dont comment.
Its a very good program that I am glad I can rely on in the future, Great job Powerhouse, keep up the good work :)
What does LS2 and RD2 have in them? Anyone know?
YES
LS2:
Life Support
RD2:
Resource Distribution
These are used in combination with spacebuild alpha pack 3 for Spacebuilding
RD2 is a submod of LS2, the both work with wire and are just bits of script.
Oh my god people's stupidity is mind-blowing.
A fucking steam account username is nothing without the password for christ's sakes
I swear to god people get dumber every day

That true ya'know
But still my point stands, you just running from me looks like you have something to hide.
New release, let me know if you experience any problems.
Hm, I'm getting this error: 'XCOPY' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
Gcombat Installation Failed.
Out of interest, what did you code this in? C++?
That doesn't apply to me now as i've said it earlier.
I virustotaled it in hopes to get it cleaned for sure. Welp. They're probably false positives.

I don't think it's a virus, but I don't need it, so I'm not opening it.
Hey trolls, get out. This is legit, if you think it's not, prove it. Good work OP.
Hey, it stoped. but people think that the bad interpretation and illiteracy of people is trolling, then they are ignorants.

Well its not malicious, I can guarantee that. At least you ran a scan before shouting virus, but they are indeed false positives.
It's triggering false positives because the file is indeed downloading extra files and extracting them to sensitive areas (C:/* - C;?program Files) these virus scanners should be shot and burnt *_*. But this program is designed to download files to sensitive areas...
I used to have one, damn thing triggered at everything even programs I made myself while compiling in VS2008

Thats strange, ar you useing windows? the XCOPY is one of the basic console commands.
also, we have already established that the earlyer posts by OrDnAs have been forgiven. So you can stop insulting him.
as for goldstrum's claims of a power atempting to hack him; it it my understanding that there is another power (that is not affiliated with powerhouse) that tryed to hack me as well. But i can understand his mistrust of simmiler names and avatars. although if you had the steam ID of this hacker we could compare it to power to prove its not him.
Works great, I don't see why people have to complain. Must've taken awhile to code/script, I imagine. But yeah, works fine.
Edit: Oh, and it's not really huge, and doesn't really matter, but multiple addon downloads at once would be great. Nothing to worry about, obviously, but it would be nice.
Also, if anyone has trouble installing the addons, try extracting the G-Addon folder first.
That seemed to work.
Also, if anyone has trouble installing the addons, try extracting the G-Addon folder first.

That is it. On page 2 I think PowerHouse gave instructions on how to do that.
Goldstrum,
look we know your angry, but for stalins sake what the fuck! If you have this much of an issue with this program stop posting. And maybe wait for your time of the month to end before you post again, you seem real bitchy. So insert that tampon and go troll 4chan.
PPowerhouseK,
I love the program, it does require some fine tuning but. Other than a few errors, it is really nice. my Gmod runs faster and i actually have usefull addons! thank you!
