If your looking for a good RP server, avoid any server running cider or kuroScript (those scirpts use the RealFake Players mod to look like the server is popular when it's not, not to mention the fact that Conna's scripts are outragously restrictive to RP), avoid any server using DarkRP, and avoid any server that is using the RealFake Players mod (to see if a server is faking it's player count, right-click a server and count the number of players. Shitty servers use the mod to look popular because they suck)

The script doesn't determine whether or not it is using the Real Fakeplayer module, the only real way to know is by matching it on gamemonitor.com, or by manually comparing the numbers of players.

Secondly, certain versions of Cider contain the mod by default (I believe)

Well my definition is that rp is like a book. I want to write where my charcter is from, is life and what happend to it, and then finaly his death. I don't see roleplay to horde money then shoot gunz. I see it to help my artistic side to write down a story. Also Denicde you messed up on Live in Fear's link it's this,

The thing is, you can't "choose" the most popular server, as everyone has a different opinion and most popular servers have a different amount of players depending on the time of the day.

@OP: I suggest the Exiled Servers PERP Lite Roleplay, it's more laid back for new learners, but at the same time it is well maintained so you still have fun and roleplay =D

Uses darkrp gamemode(most played) on gm_construct. You build, and you RP with your building.
Like as a police officer, make a jail. Or as a gundealer, make a shop.
It's a UK server, 24slots and quite enjoyable. You can't buy admin/moderator or any other status than respected, which gives you extra tools. Such as adv dup, rope, duplicator etc.
I am myself a superadmin on the server, been playing over 600hours on it. Started playing on it around August of 2009.
