Hey, guys. Is there any way to convert the Smart Link tool for using it with SB2?
Smart Link =/= SB3 erither, it's for LS/RD 3 :D But I guess you meant that... Hmm. Nope, you can't for now, I MIGHT look at the code, then say is it possible. (of course it is, just needs recoding). [editline]01:05PM[/editline] A LOT of it is coded using CAF while LS2 is stand-alone... LOTS of extra recoding.
Yeah, for those of you that rated me dumb, just remember that LS/RD2 are used with SB2. And I know it is possible, since *bush* uses it, though I don't know how to code like a human.
What would it need: 1.Replace CAF code with reglular Lua. 2.Change the strings from node to junction 3.Change the linking code. Then it would be minor corrections. But, like you, I can't code much of Lua.
How do you use SVN. I want the beta.
*cough* http://www.snakesvx.net/index.php/module_Wiki2/title_Garrysmod_Help_Installation_Morcam Ignore 4-5, create the Spacebuild3 folder in addons, then just use sandbox. SVN links http://www.snakesvx.net/index.php/module_Wiki2/title_Help_Info_SVN. Pay EXTREMELY mucch attention to sixth step (VERY important). *cough* That was still a quite nice bump. [editline]08:00PM[/editline] Oh yea, use my link, not the one in the tutorial (it became ibsolete after snake was *sob* permabanned.)
If anyone feels like modifying my installation guide to the modern procedures, go right ahead.
I had a quick question, is there an SVN Link for SB3?

Link to SVN collection is on every page in this thread.
An update or something seems to have broken the gravity plating.
Yeah how the hell do you fix the gravity on the planets n' shit?
You... Don't use gravity plating you use gravity generator (It's called that, right?). Gravity Plating is for props >_>
The gravity regulator works fine, it's the SB3 gravity plating that doesn't work anymore. Works fine in SB2.
I played with LS2/RD2 a bit back in the day, and just got back to gmod after taking a break. Got RD3/LS3 and played around with it a bit. Looks good. Just curious, how do I relay resources over a distance? I want to take the water from a lake and move it to my base at the mainland, but I just can't figure out how. It's probably something simple...
You carry them in their containers. It's supposed to be so you can't just link planets together.
add the largest nodes you can, then link them to each-other, and stretch them out, you can do this to allow you to survive in space indefinitely too, as all resources collected from a planet goes to your space station.

Found it.
This does work, but goes against the spirit of spacebuild imho.
aye, and what im sure a lot of us hate seeing the most is people resource spamming, probably from either thinking they need that much, or because they are afraid of dieing from lack of resources. :saddowns: just a suit full (3-4k oxygen, and similar energy/water from a suit dispanser) will keep u up and running for around 5 minutes in space. as such my solution to resource transport was welding some <insert resource here> tanks to the underside of my fighter, linking & filling it up and flying it between planets. :3:
If you want the spirit, you can try using the Mass Driver from RTS. Heh, never got it aimed correctly at my station... guess what happens. Spamming IS a problem, but what can we do? The minges/newbies don't think 1000000 oxygen is enough to keep them alive until they make a link for a constant supply of resources.
Why do you think it is problem with sbmp and why are you talking about sbmp in Spacebuild gamemode thread?
I'm having the exact same problem.
I have deleted and redownloaded CAF, RD3, LS3, SB3, and the gravity plating tool still doesn't do anything. It's extremely frustrating, there's no point building ships you can't walk in.
Gravity Regulator/Generator? It uses resources, but generates a field (a sphere of X units in size). Or at least it DID when I last played SB.
I shouldn't have to, the tool should work as advertised, just like it did until an update or whatever the hell it was broke it.
when I play on single player the atmosphere doesn't work, as in I can breathe anywhere. How do I fix this? and yes, I'm using a SB3 compatible map

If it doesn't work there then you need to fix your svns.
It doesn't work,and I fix svn ...how?
It sounds like you're missing one of the requirements. You need the SB3 core, LS3 core and entities, CAF and RD3.
