They need to be in individual folders rather than one parent.
SVN is in your mailbox.
I can't get SB3 to load. I've used it before, but now it isn't working. I have it in the addons folder, and it's the latest version. CAF doesn't load it when the server starts. When I try to load it through the CAF Menu it says "Couldn't Enable the Addon for the following reason: nil". It loads life support stuff fine, though. I tried playing it on several maps including sb_new_worlds_2 and sb_gooniverse, but it doesn't work in either one.

I had no problems, but you should try deleting the addon (the one that makes the error i.e. SB3 or LS3 core), or even the whole pack and re-svn. You know, sometimes files get corrupted and shit.
[editline]03:39PM[/editline]
And delete the old folders, not overwrite them.
I am having problems with getting ls3 and sb3 working properly and I am not sure what is wrong. I have the svns installed and I have the sb3 addon and when I run it (using sb_gooniverse) doesn't seem to show the lifesupport bar when I go in space or underwater. In the CAF tab it only has gravity plating under the life support section. I have tried to visit www.snakesvx.net to see if I am missing anything but it can't display the webpage. I need some help with this, so any ideas.
I managed to get onto his site, it was being updated. I checked the svn file and I don't seem to be missing anything needed.
I have fixed it, it turns out I had two files which contained the custom addon framework
God damn it, where the hell is the SVN link for Spacebuild 3 and Life Support 3? Snake has his site being revamped, so I can't get it from there.

That's one of the main reasons we gave up hosting Spacebuild.. he can't seem to make up his mind.
It's all good, I'll probably get back in to it sometime.
If you need the svn links just pm me.
Does anybody know what the CVar commands for Spacebuild/Life Support 3 are? I've looked damn near everywhere, and can't find em. Maybe a comprehensive list added to a readme?

But I just threw this together today for the noobs who fail at installing the spacebuild essentials. I might add the other Spacebuild addons into this, but not until my server uses them as confusing the natives is easy enough.
It's only the basics of Spacebuild with SBEP (all 5 segments) as well.

Hope I can post this in this thread, if not please slap my hand and whip me :(
I recently built a tiny base inside the asteroid on Forlorn. I won't go in to the details because I'm sure the majority of you know how custom addon framework functions. But the point it, using water as my only resource, I was able to create a life support system that would never expire. Right now I'm building a base in the caverns of the lava planet on Gooniverse, but I don't know how I'm going to rig up the life support without any water. Does anyone have a solution?
Also this got me thinking about new ways of collecting resources. What if there was a thermal energy turbine or something. You could submerge it in lava or the sun or something. And it would collect energy, like a water pump got it on with a solar panel and had a baby!
I have deleted and redownloaded CAF, RD3, LS3, SB3, and the gravity plating tool still doesn't do anything. It's extremely frustrating, there's no point building ships you can't walk in.
So nobody's going to offer any help on this?

i dunno, I haven't ever had that problem, try cleaning gmod or removing any unnessesary addons.

Just wiped out my entire gmod installation, reinstalled, and downloaded only what was essential for SB3, and the gravity plating still doesn't work. Seriously, what the fuck is going on.

It probably got broken by the last patch. I think the gravity controllers still work, so don't panic.

You don't get it. I don't want to use a gravity controller. I want localized gravity, on my props, without screwing around with resources, just like it's always been, and just like it still works in SB2. Part of developing addons for Gmod is keeping your stuff current with Garry's pathological need to break everybody's addons every few months.
Er, any help on the CVars? I've asked multiple times in the last week, and either nobody knows what they are, or they're ignoring the question :/

I don't know what they are or what they do...but you shouldn't mess with it I think?

Nice, but what about Gs2?

Considering Snake got permabanned by Garry over a year ago now, be thankful he keeps it running as much as he does.

They are to change values like how many ls generators, or how many storage units you can have.
They are to change values like how many ls generators, or how many storage units you can have.
Why would you change that?
Just take a huge container...they are small but carries a lot!

Hard to be thankful when building ships is the only thing I really do in Spacebuild, and the one feature that is essential for that is apparently irreparably broken.

Then fix it yourself. He doesn't owe you anything, and the gravity controllers still work.

So I should go learn lua from scratch and pick through every line of code in SB3 with no clue what I'm looking for, just because some developer had a bitchfit with Garry, got banned, and won't fix his work anymore.
Right.

LOL, if there is anything devs wouldn't fix anything for it's people like you that think we don't have a normal life.
We do this in our own free time which we don't always have a lot of.
everything works fine in SB3 for me! so thanks :D

How long does it take to fix an update-induced bug? I'm not asking for a shit ton of crazy new features like the worshipping fanboys that inevitably follow every halfway decent mod, but a simple restoration of a capability that existed only a couple months ago. It's not a complete rewrite.
