Why would you change that?
Just take a huge container...they are small put carries a lot!
It's not specifically for me, but for a server I help run, as it was requested.
Oh hai! I would like to know how I use it for my server? I was trying to add it to the command line, but didnt work. It's in addons, that also makes it a bit hard getting onto server. How do I get it on my server? (Also making the gamemode active)
Can someone tell me what exactly are the requirements for a planet to be able to be terraformed?
I've gone to every planet in new_worlds_2, and can't find a single consistant thing that would explain why you can't terraform a planet, but the asteroid base will not accept any resources dumped into it.
Basically, i've figured this, Gravity > 0 and Pressure = 0 means the planet has no atmosphere, but can accept it, Gravity> 0 and Pressure > 0 means there's gas here but not alot.
This makes sense everywhere but the asteroidbase which has gravity but will not terraform in any way...
Anyone know if it's hard coded not to terraform, or am i missing something?
terraforming doesn't work very well at all, there seems to be no way to increase the planetary temperature.

That's easy.
CO2 to increase temp, Nitro/Hydrogen to decrease.
any gasses to increase pressure, obviously. terraforming works, i just dont understand what the requirements are for a planet to be able to be terraformed.

It has to exist.
Seriously that is the only requirement. Naturally some planets take longer to sort than others, but as long as you can raise the oxygen level above 5% and keep the temperature at around 300k you can survive on that planet.
EDIT: Also remember to take out as well as put in. You cant expect to put more air into an atmosphere without taking out CO2.

Ah, i sucked all the CO2 out and replaced it with O2, then we couldn't figure out how to fix it.
please, the hot planets are impossible to terraform. Im on the lava one on forlorn, I've tried pumping it to 100% nitrogen, put a lil hydro in, some o2, a touch of co2..
Best I can get is 450K temp with is rather sweaty weather let me tell you.

It is possible, hydrogen works better than nitrogen at cooling the planet.
On a slightly related note, anyone know how the air hydroponics works?
SB3, because sb2 was better and as we all know everything good needs as shitty sequal!

Plants? ...hum they need water...and I think that when you link them to CO2 or a resource cache full of things...it either take CO2 or change it...I don't know...but it's a pain in the ass to try to survive on an other planet.
I found an answer to my question. when a server boots up, in the console are the CVars. If anybody else want's to know, check in the console on start up.
This may seem like a dumb question, but where the hell are the files?

I've hooked em up to water and CO2 but it doesn't seem to do anything...

So you can change the max storage devices and stuff? I've checked the console before and wasn't able to find any options before, can you elaborate?

garrysmod\Addons\Life support entities\lua\entities
Here you'll find the entities (generators and stuff). Open init.lua of the device you want and search for the function/resouce name. Backup first, in case you may get the fusion generator consume a milion water/second and produce 10 energy/minute.
yea, I'll find em and post what I've found. These are default, I'm pretty sure
sbox_maxls3_energysystems 30
sbox_maxls3_environmental_control 30
sbox_maxls3_other 30
sbox_maxls3_other_lights 10

Ah awesome, I'll try it out next time I play.
How can I get power for the air compressor/the other life support things? When I link them to a solar panel, they still get no power (even though it's sunny, I'm testing this in hugeflatconstruct).
To add to the above, the air pressure/temperature/etc don't work in the maps. When I select for example forlorn, I can wander around all of the planets and no HUD indicator shows any temperatures or anything. However, when I go under water, these appear. I have SB3, LS3 and RS3. All are up to date.
Are you making your own server or playing single player?
Because you might want to check if you're choosing the right gamemod select bar thingy when you create a server.
The top one doesn't change but the bottom one should be SB3

SHH, don't try to mislead him. If you don't know yourself then don't say.
SB3 is not a gamemode anymore.

For resources to work, you must first link everything to a resource node. You cannot simply link things directly, you need to use a resource node and link things to that. The numbers next to the node is the max range the node will work to, so bare that in mind when designing ships (nodes can link to eachother and share resources).
Not all spacebuild maps work with Sb3. Make sure you have the Sb3 versions - forlorn is one of those maps that has an SB3 version seperate.
To check to see if the addon is working period, try loading up gooniverse. That works 100% in SB3.
Huge Flat Construct is not a space build map, you can't make things work without it being a space build map.
Doesn't work even with sb_gooniverse. In addition, the lava planet's ground is bugging (purple/black checkers). Any ideas?
Also, the Life Support tab hasn't got a Resource Node.

wait what? For me it is...and it works fine?
Here's the screen shot I took to show you how...

You're doing it wrong. SB3 is an addon, not a gamemode. There's no reason to set the gamemode, since it does nothing.

Try it without forcing it on, on a SB map. You'd be surprised.

I _think_ gooniverse used textures from css but I wouldn't swear to it.
Also, you did put the folders sperately in addons right? they are not in one big folder, LS3E, LS3C, RD3, CAF etc etc should all be in Addons.
I have them in separate folders. They all work fine with, but I don't get the oxygen/CO2/temperature HUD thing when I'm in space or another planet, just when I'm under water.
E: And I'm not using any HUD mod.
