How do you "plug yourself in" to "resource stations" Doesn't this mean that every ship you build needs to be self sufficient?
How do you "plug yourself in" to "resource stations" Doesn't this mean that every ship you build needs to be self sufficient?
No, there are resource pumps for this purpose. I have a video on them, if you really want to know how they work. They can actually force resources from one network to another, rather than just causing the networks to share. The amounts and desired shared resources are also customizable.
God I hate that bug, No idea why it happens, or how to fix it... Other than dying, seems to settle it temporarily.
Shut down ALL life support output for about 5 seconds, never fails to fix it for me. Of course it doesn't work in extra-hazardous areas where you die fast unless you have wire set to auto-reboot the system after a set time.
second one=much better it would be best if we could have both though
second one=much better it would be best if we could have both though
Planning on adding both in future updates. Nodes will get priority over direct connections though (so if a device is connect to both a resource node and a storage device, it will try to send it's resources to the node before trying to send it to the storage device)

Not really a new bug, already a few years old oô 2. When a ressource in the target network is full they still drain ressources from the source network and pump them into oblivion... What I would love to have is these 2 bugs fixed and wire support added so you can send wire data to the pump to select the amount and type of ressource that you wanna pump, that would make refueling stations awesome :D

Just remembered another thing that would make LS even more simple to wire: make node WireLinkable :D that way I wouldn't have to wire curr & max of a ressource tank to my e2 but just the node to control the ls parts.
Hi I have a problem with LS3,Whennever I try to spawn anything like a generator or storage device. It shows up as an error I know I have it installed correctly but i cant figure out the problem. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Since without the error we can only guess what your problem is.
Change your avatar to something like SB. :3 Please?
For some wierd reason noclip works in space again after I updated my SVN's on the server( havn't updated for like 3 months though).

Hi guys, I'm new and don't know how to make Spacebuild 3 to work. In my addons folder I have: Wire SVN PHX3 SVN Gcombat Core SVN Gcombat eXtended SVN Life support 3 core SVN Life support 3 entities SVN Resource distribution 3 SVN SBEP_Entities SVN SBEP Experimental SVN SBEP Fortifications SVN SBEP Models SVN SBEP Weapons SVN What do I have to do to start playing spacebuild?

Thanks! Do I just run a spacebuild map on sandbox? Also, I can't find the coolant compressor.
Thanks! Do I just run a spacebuild map on sandbox? Also, I can't find the coolant compressor.
You run it in spacebuild gamemode
You run it in spacebuild gamemode
With the addon you just run a SB map yes, it will auto startup the addon (unless you disable it).
Yeah, spacebuild runs all fine and stuff except I miss some things e.g Coolant compressor coolant tank. I don't know what addon these tools are associated with, if someone could help I could just try downloading it again with a different link.

Okay, I worked on my base for a whole day, I save it, come back, and now nothing works. When I load the save it says the usual stuff about spacebuild and life support being enabled but this time it says "Resource Transit System Error". Any help?

If you did use Adv duoplicator, I have no clue. The only problem I had with it was that everything (mostly) would unlink themselves. BTW, what kind of a base are you talking about?

I never knew that! I'm trying to create a regular save in which I have settlements on all the planets of gm new worlds. If there's any way this is possible, please tell me. I don't want to use the adv dupe because the base is sort of like a village with many buildings, I have a warehouse with resource caches and generators inside it, a small house for me, etc. To use to the adv dupe I'd have to paste it every time I loaded the map and I don't want that. *edit* Oh yeah, and if I adv dupe my base now and paste it again, will everything go back to normal or will they all be props?

I have to agree, a "duplicate all" button would be useful. Or you may ant to create the prop part of the bases, save it as a regular save, then Adv dupe the rest. P.S. If you didn't try already, try to make a slef-sustainable space station.
Sorry for massage what replying every noob here, but i had fnished all my energy on that problem) I don't have in spacebuild gamemode stuff bar with colant, air, energy and gravity disabler, what must disable gravity in space.

It would help if you would list your SB/LS addons.
P.S. If you didn't try already, try to make a slef-sustainable space station.
Is the possible without using a black hole cache? I can't find a way to get the oxygen.
I dunno, some guy posted a plan, though I don't remember what. First you collect energy (sun), then you use it to collect something (what is in space) and use another something to make it oxygen (or add another something-step). Something like that. You still have your outposts, right? Then you can, using Mass Driver/Packeter make a semi-sustainable station too. But beware: don't miss! I mostly did the second one, though my attention (mostly) went to the ground station which I rarely duplicate and the crashes are a bit too often to complete it oin one play. I'll see if I can find that post about self-sustained space station. [editline]12:08PM[/editline] So, I found it on page 21, though it requires (I think, but dunno if it's compatible with any changes that were made to the SVN, or maybe it's already in the SVN?) this: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=78010 In space, we use the solar panel to collect energy. we then use the ramscoops to collect hydrogen, which we can convert to oxygen. We can then use some of the hydrogen and oxygen to make water using the hydrocreator. Now, lets say we suddenly need a lot of power. We can take the water, make heavy water, and then be able to use the reactor! Too bad there's no SVN-only way AFAIK. [editline]12:17PM[/editline] So, you're going to stick with semi-sustained method? You can wire it up so that Mass Drivers send resources to your station every now and then. Damn slow packeting.
