ive had this mod for a while and i love it but how do i vent resources out into planets to terraform it?
Pump the gasses into resource caches, then vent the caches into space.
Then to put gasses into the atmosphere, vent them out of caches.
It is a slow process that takes a while, and there are some planets that are so far above or below the liveable norm that they cannot be terraformed.

yes but how to "vent" them out do i need to use a wire button? or is there a entity?
I found out how to do it using wire i didn't think of using wire!

That is frankly ignorance on your part.

I just put spacebuild on my server and i need suggestions for good maps. I already have Gm_galactic_rc1 and Gooniverse. what else should i have?
Two suns is a good one. Also a tip NEVER let new players use GCombat. EVER
They will abuse it and destroy everybodies stuff. It happened on one server I go on and we ended up losing a total of four man hours of work

I don't even have it installed, i hate it.
The only reason I have it installed is because Space Build uses some of the effects.
Also can you PM me your server's IP
Do planets attract props in space, allowing you to put them into orbit? I played SB3 a loooong time ago and it didn't have that feature, but a friend of mine says it does. Is this true?

No, sorry.

You can if you get Spacebox. It's an addon for Spacebuild that enables realistic gravity.
I have Spacebox and used it a lot in lieu of SB2, but a friend just loaded up SB3 last night and said there was gravity. Maybe he's confused.
how do i remove the dying sound in sb2 and 3 multiplayer IM SICK OF IT.

Ok, first thing is I can't believe this thread still exists.
Second, I can't get this Terraformer to work. I heard you link Resource Caches to it, which you link a Resource Node to. I do, but in the Terraformer options, the only option is still "Turn Off/On".
How do they work? I can't find a tutorial anywhere that shows what you do. I'm on an extreme hot planet right now.

The terraformer in SB3 never got finished really, a beta version was released, but noone really gave any feedback about it (so either is was working or it wasn't and noone tried it out or I missed it, it the last is the case could someone link me?).
Could you send me a pm with what it's (not) doing?
Preferably with some details so I can test it out more easily...
PM sent to you. Hope it helps.
Space has no true temperature and yet spacebuild gives it one, one thats rather high.... There cannot be temperature with no matter. :P

What about infra red radiation or something else? I mean if vacuum couldn't have a temperature, then wouldn't vacuum be the perfect thermoisolation?

You just realized how thermos work.
Quick question: does spacebuild work with the linux binaries.
Both yes and no I guess, some people get some problems, (folders with big letters and such)
The mod I've had the most problems with is wiremod really (of all things) but oh well.
where can i find the latest svn version of spacebuild3?

Read this thread for getting SB3 to work on linux:

You can also report bugs on the following thread now:

Oh man I miss playing Spacebuild so much :smith:
It was so fun when I used to play it on servers back in the day, but now there aren't nearly as many servers for it as there used to be, and everyone has moved on.

Maybe some of the updates I'm working on will change that again. But since they are usualy major ones, it will take a while to get them all ready. Mostly because I'm usualy busy with uni atm.

awesome, I come back to garrysmod and read that 3 weeks ago dev team posted about updating spacebuild :)
It looks like I may have to relearn mapping for this. I've been away from Garrysmod for far too long.
Also, for those who cannot find the mods to run spacebuild, google + snakesvx = the answer to all your problems.
is this addon dead? this thread is definetly dead, but the SVN's are still alive, so I'm confused.

There is also being worked on a major update to SB.
Currently I'm developing it on the Gmod BETA, so don't expect a release for it before the BETA gets released.
nice to see this stuff is under development. Also, why is Spacebuild split up into so many addons? shouldn't SB3/RB3/LS3/GS2/Petrol Systems all be one addon?
