I really doubt fixing the cod4 problem will get rid of devnull, Stan uses more than just cod4.
As far as I know, he also uses sa:mp, enemy territory, quake 3 and unreal 3 servers as well.
No shit, this has already been known for ages.. Call of Duty happens to be the most effective, though.

I believe the effectiveness of COD4 has dropped somewhat due to GSPs noticing that they've had quite a bit of outgoing traffic and have worked to patch their servers.

yeah but it's still quite a punch with 15k servers from COD4 alone
One would think that the CoD hosts would notice the massive amounts of bandwidth used with no players.

They complain to our hosts saying we're hitting them.

I used to get that too, until you show your sending tiny packets in response to the huge ones they are sending at you.

Slight bump, I provide to them that our MAC address does not match the one they're being attacked by.
I'm sorry if this question has already been asked, but my internet is currently under DoS right now and it takes forever to load a webpage.
From what I know, the person is using a DevNull program and is using a fairly small amount of computers to DoS my internet. How can I trace the ip addresses? My ISP is extremely stupid and cannot do anything about it cause they don't understand me so I'll have to get the IP address myself and give it to the police or their ISP so they can shut his/her internet down.

If you have a dynamic IP, restart your router to get a new IP.
If you have a static IP, explain your situation to your ISP and ask for a new one.
Your not gonna be able to trace it.
Won't ServerSecure3 help with these attacks?
By the way, not being dumb. ServerSecure2 was updated, you just need to compile it.
the only way you'll "win" is with the attacks blocked at a network level, or if it's lower than your port speed and you have something filtering it before the packets reach the application level
