Oh wait, because most communities cannot create an viable anti-cheat, a lot of the freely available ones seem quite lackluster, and to get one that would be pretty hard to bypass would require paying someone stupid amounts of money because the only people who bother with this branch of development are all money hungry.
With the source available people can start working on their own methods of blocking it now. And can see roughly what makes that particular version tick. Eventually enough of the methods SH uses to work will be blocked in various ways, pretty much stopping it dead in its tracks. The only problems would be if another way of implementing the features appears.
Besides. It's also a learning experience. Some people might be genuinely interested in how the code functions.

Here I wrote you an anticheat which worked about a year ago, no guarantees on the syntax since I haven't played Gmod in 6 months.
There's a ton of ways to detect it, look hard enough through forums or ask the people like Flapadar and anyone else who actively develops an anticheat and they'll normally toss you the stupidest and easiest methods which Seth could probably patch so that you can get rid of some of them.
I never said it being leaked as a bad thing, I said that nearly everyone here is making a big fuss over something which has been happening for years because garry started a public crusade.
