Did u try to get LS2 with the link in Divran's 1st post? I got it with that link and i didnt have to commit.
I' think u might hafta try again. Here's the link from the 1st post for LS2:
http://tools.assembla.com/svn/LifeSupport2
In the 1st post Divran said it's outdated, maybe it's cuz LS3 is out, but u still can try to get it.
To get the LS3 go to
http://www.snakesvx.net/index.php/module_Wiki/title_Help_Info_SVN
Don't use commit. Use Checkout.
Don't use commit. Use Checkout.
LS2's SVN is a .zip.
You have to unzip that, and then install it
I downloaded tortoise SVN for Shotgunguy42's playermodel pack, will I still have to download this one?

If you already have Tortoise SVN installed on your computer, then what do you think? Why would you have to download the same thing twice? It's called "common sense".

No need to act all high and mighty. I just thought that because it's for a different addon, it may be a different SVN.
[editline]1:54PM[/editline]
faggot
it's a different SVN link, but SVN downloaders are the same.
It's like a web browser, they look different, and some are better than others, but they do the same thing.
I am Teddy. Once you read this you cannot get out.
Finish reading this until it is done! As I said,
I am Teddy. I am 7 years old and have no eyes and
blood all over my face. I am dead. If you don't post
this in 12 threads, I will come to ur house at
midnight and hide under ur bed. When ur asleep I'll
kill you. Don't believe me? Case 1: Patty Buckles
got this email. She doesn't believe in chain letters.
Well, foolish Patty. She was sleeping when her TV
started flickering on and off. Now she's not with us
anymore. Haha Patty, haha. You don't wanna be like
Patty, do you? Case 2: George M Simon hates chain
mail, but he didn't wanna die that night. He put it
in 4 threads. Not good enough George. Now George is
in a coma & we don't know if he'll ever wake up.
Haha George haha! Now, you don't wanna be like George
do you? Case 3: Valarie Tyler got this letter.
Another chain letter she thought. She only put this
in 7 threads. Well, that night when she was havin

Ok so I got svn and installed it but when I right click it just won' t show any of the commands can anyone help.
After installing SVN, create a directory with a name of the stuff u wanna get with SVN (for example DARKRP), then right click that DIR and select SVN CHECKOUT then get the link of the stuff from the 1st post copy and paste into the first "place" in SVN (look at the pic in 1st post) then click OK
Dont hurry the stuff, read the 1st post thoroughly and u'll get the hang of it quickly and it'll be easy!
I got 2 gigabytes of Gmod Addons with SVN already :D
Hey sorry if this is a repeat, i haven't got time to go through all of the posts just yet.
If i do checkout on a folder (say i call it "SGate") will i be able to do multiple downloads into one folder? one for wraith dart , McKay pack etc all in one or will i have to make folders for them all?

I don't think so. I haven't really tried something like that.
But why do you need to do that? You could just export them and then rename the exported folders to the same name, or something like that.

I mean use ONE folder as the checkout all the time, and for example download PHX3 and wiremod etc to just that folder then u would only have to extract one folder (with all the SVN's in it) i know its a long shot xD
ty for the reply^_^
-snipity snip snip-
You can only use a folder for checkout ONCE, after that u can only update it if i remember right.
So u must create new folders for each stuff u wanna get with SVN.
Creating folders is the easiest stuff to do so dont be lazy.
I made around 20-30 folders for the addons i got and i cant be mixed up with the "which addon stuff is where" or the "where did i put it" problem cuz i named each folder the addon's name it has inside.
UPDATE Removed the chat conversation (used a lot of space for not a good enough reason). Added the start of a FAQ. If anyone asks any questions enough times, anywhere, I'll add them to it.
UPDATE Removed LS2, RD2 and SB2, and added the new all-in-one pack instead.
(Whoops. Ok apparently it doesn't auto merge after 1 day. I'll remember that)
the link to evolve addon does not work for me...
bumping for lulz
SVN Checkout doesn't work. I can't find anything helpfull anywhere
I can't be bothered to follow all the instructions, so I'm gonna blame the tutorial I failed to use. Nor will I explain the issues I'm having, so that way it's really hard for anyone to help me!
please explain

I can't help you with problems like this.. because I haven't experienced them myself.
Did you try restarting your computer after installing?
Try looking here too: http://tortoisesvn.net/help
I followed your tutorial and I must say it was really helpful, but I have a suggestion about installing wiremod. Since all 3 folders need to be separated after downloaded, wouldn't it make sense to make 3 different svn folders instead (1 for the wire, 1 for the model pack, and 1 for the adv. duplicator) and then just directly export them from there? It also helps because out of the few times I've updated them, the only folder that updated was the wire folder itself, helping you save time.

You can just open
desktop/SVN Addons/Wiremod/ (Or wherever you decided to checkout the wire folder - might not be on your desktop.)
And hold CTRL, left click those three folders, hold the RIGHT mouse button (Not the left). Then drag and drop into the addons folder. A menu should appear when you let go, that has the usual cut, and stuff. But with TSVN installed it also has 2 Export options. Choose whichever one you want. There isn't much difference.
If you want three different folders, just go to that folder..
desktop/SVN Addons/Wiremod/
And cut/paste the three folders out of it, so that it is
desktop/SVN Addons/adv duplicator/
desktop/SVN Addons/wire/
desktop/SVN Addons/wire model pack 1/
But as I said, that's not really needed when you can just do what I said above.
i cant install svn on my vista :S.
