windows has a search function, search for .svn, select them all and press delete.
Why did you just quote the whole tutorial? If you see this, please edit your post and remove the tutorial from it. It takes up loads of space for no reason. You found a quicker way to delete them than finding every single folder yourself. Good for you.. Read the FAQ about why deleting the .svn folders is a bad idea.
divran, YOU ROCK! i recomend this tutorial to everyone who is new to svn.
Divran, I find your tutorial absolutely and utterly AWESOME. As i said before it is very well explained and i'm finding it useful even now, after using S.V.N. on several occasions. Thanks again and i hope you will continue helping noobs across the world. (Which includes me)
This is probably the best I've seen in awhile. Really helps. I'm justing kicking back into gmod again. good to get updated.
i know this thread is dead, but can somone put up some WORKING links to life suport 3?
This thread isn't dead. I'm on it every day :) I just don't bump it too often. There are links to snakeSVX's website all over the tutorial. You haven't even read it, have you..?

Sry if im a bit noobie... but how you create a server?
Sorry if this has been asked before, but I don't really feel like reading every page. I was downloading my addons though SVN into a steam folder, now I have read this tutorial, must I still put my folder where I download all the addons into a non-steam folder, or will it make no difference.

When i right-click-drag i can choose between export all and export versioned. Which one should i use? The other parts of your tutorial are great by the way ^^.

Export versioned only takes the ones downloaded by SVN (I'm not 100% sure but I think this is what they do).
+1 Agree @darkslayer: What??
What do you mean what. your tutorial sucked. the end
What do you mean what. your tutorial sucked. the end
I can't help you with problems with the SVN client. Ask on their support site: http://tortoisesvn.net/support
Ive been having a problem, Ive downloaded the Spacebuild SVN - http://spacebuildmodelpack.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/SpacebuildModelPackAlpha2 - about 4 or 5 times now, and every time it gets an error that looks like this - Every time this happens.. always at about 150mb through the dl, and another thing is when it starts downloading the Slyfo models it will only dl them at 0-1kb/s.. wile the rest of the dl go's 100+, so if anyone knows why this is happening please help me. Thanks

I hate SVN, I like the old fashion downloading.
I hate SVN, I like the old fashion downloading.
This post doesn't help.
Ok, Thanks for your help, I finally figured it out, all i had to do was update the Tortoise SVN and it worked.. feel kinda dumb now. but I'm really happy I have it working now.

Divran, I've had Tortoise SVN before I joined, so why did you quote me and put this thread down?
I hate SVN, I like the old fashion downloading.
Why? SVN is a tame saver. You can start playing that addon sooner than you would with old fashion downloading.
Divran, I've had Tortoise SVN before I joined, so why did you quote me and put this thread down?
Uhm. Don't remember.
(Just a quick message) Hope you all had a Merry X-Mas.
For some reason anytime I try to use SVN for addons nowadays the SVN's download speed slows down then comes to a complete stop saying its transfering 0 bytes/s whenever I try to SVN checkout folders for addons. This doesnt happen to all but mainly ones that take more then 10-12 seconds to download and it only started maybe a month ago, which at first i thoaght nothing of it but now I've had to unistall a gamemode and can't get it back cause tortoise won't completly download the necessary files.
I dont suggest exporting it as you won't be able to update it. Just drag into the Addons folder.
I dont suggest exporting it as you won't be able to update it. Just drag into the Addons folder.
I have a garrysmod/svn folder which I update. I then export to garrysmod/garrysmod/addons.
